Raven has adorned her wings with bird skulls to help her remember to keep them tight in and held high. She bounds to the starting gate eagerly when her number called, hoping to bring glory to the clan![/center]

Falcon felt the [b]ghost[/b] of trepidation as he stood at the top of the huge drop of the ski slope. He was used to flying high above Sornieth, to swooping and diving, and even to speed - but he'd never had to do it with skis strapped to his feet before. His stomach turned over with sudden nerves, but he steeled himself, thought of his friend waiting at the bottom, and pushed off.
He left his nerves behind at the top of the hill - and all conscious thought, working purely on muscle memory, existing in the moment.
The wind stung his face as he sped downwards. He braced himself, ready for the sudden upwards sweep, and took off. He angled his body, wings pulled in tight to his body as per the rules. It wasn't like flying at all. It felt stiff, unnatural, but he could feel himself soaring furhter, further. Now all he had to do was catch himself. The snow-blanketed ground rushed towards him.

Everything slammed back into his body at once. He was aware suddenly of the cheering crowd, the thunder of his heart, the brightness of the snow. He brought himself to a halt and took a moment to glance around. There were his friends, waving and whooping. He grinned back at them and lifted a hand to wave. He'd done it.
Now to see how he had done. He turned towards the leaderboard and waited to see where his name would appear.

Nithe was a dancer (amongst other things). And she had an affinity with sharp blades. That, she figured, made her more than qualified to enter the Figure Skating competition.
The song she had chosen was fast, and as the notes began to swirl through the air, so did she. The skates hissed as she cut across the ice from one end of the rink to the other, performing elaborate figure-eights and switching between skating forwards and backwards with effortless grace.
(It was not effort. It in fact took enormous skill to make it look that way.)
As she circled back to the mid point and came level with the judges, Nithe leapt into the air, turning a corkscrew once, twice, three times in the air before she landed and whipped in the other direction, circling again for another jump, and another. The music swelled towards her finale and she danced her way across the ice, giving in to ever more complex feats of athleticism and acrobatics.
Finally, the music came to and end and Nithe stopped, panting for breath, her arms and wings raised for the judges.
Would her performance be enough for victory? She had no idea -- but as she looked up into the stands, she could see [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/70132370]Valour[/url]'s proud smile. That was better than any medal she might win.

At first it was aimless, frolicking without purpose. Mama supervising, but not having much guidance to offer. Susan, a retired dancer, stepped up to the plate. Soon he was pirouetting to the sound of his parents cheers. He was elegant and unfazed by limitations.
Now he was surrounded by cheering crowds. He had made a few mistakes but overall it was a stellar performance. It was thrilling that the crowd had enjoyed but he needed to do something before he received his judgment. He skated to where his moms were beaming at him.
“You did great, sweetheart. [b]Victory[/b] is yours.” Mother smiled
“I’m so proud of you,” Mama said, while giving him a kiss on the head.

When it came to choosing a team among the clan for the event, it was a no brainer. Quickflight the tundra is the ace of the team, for her size and agile reflexes have proven to be quite effective at the game.
