As much as she wanted to explore, she figured that the best path forward was to make a bit of progress, find a nice area, and then rest for a while.
So that is what she did. She let herself amble for about an hour before picking a spot to settle. That spot ended up being in a little marshy glade just north of the Behemoth. It was quite beautiful, especially for a swamp; the Behemoth's massive roots rose from the water, sheltering drifts of lilypads and stranded fish from the Gladeveins. Vines draped from the low canopy, providing perches for kingfishers and herons. Fireflies drifted from cattail to cattail, lending a shimmering light to the darkness. It was a kind of unique beauty that could only be found in the Shrieking Wilds, and Ivey didn't regret having the opportunity to absorb it for a little while.[/quote]
