Watching with worry, 4 eggs that glimmered with magic. "Do you think it worked this time?" She asked her mate. Abbadon, a massive black wolf, looked at the eggs and titled his head. "I'm unsure, they seem fine? Maybe it did work?" . With a sigh Linnaea slid closer to him, his warm fur warming her cold hands. "Let's hope so" ... Later that night the eggs began to hatch. One by one little pearlcatchers popped their heads out of the dark eggs. One devoid of color, except for the red eyes staring out of her wings, another with blue almost the same as the mushrooms that grew around them. And a third, dark as night. The 4th egg was the last to hatch. With the poking and prodding from the siblings they finally popped their snout out. But instead of a pearlcatcher like the rest a tiny, padded snout popped out and sniffed the air. Linnae stepped back with a deep inhale, the spell had failed. "Worry not, this little one isn't a full Barghest" Abbadon reassured her as the little imperial tumbled out the egg. Her fur was thicker than that of others, her paws and teeth bigger. But she did not reek of Barghest. As the hatchlings began to tumble around their father's paws Linnae took out her cards and let the moon decide their fate. For the eldest, clad in eyes of red [i]The Magican[/i]. For the one matching the shadows she was born in, [i]The Sun[/i], how ironic. For the one who was almost invisible even in the moonlight, [i]The Empress[/i]. With shaking hands Linnaea drew the last card, for the little malformed imperial, [i]Justice[/i]. With a reassuring nuzzle from Abbadon and the hatchlings piled on his back Linnaea went home. Unaware of the angry howls that floated on the wind. Once again the Barghest bloodline had twarted her spell, but this one she would make sure did not join the pack. To anyone passing by she would've appeared alone, but to her a large figure stood behind her. His arms gently holding her. "I'm worried again" she spoke to him "They're late, the moon's already past its peak" She began to figit with her braid. [i] Patience, maybe they're just taking their time. [/i] her companion remarked. [i] Besides I know Linnaea is usually with us, but she has her own clutch to be worried about. [/i] . "I know I just-" A crack split the air as a metallic imperial spilled out of an egg. "Oh, they're hatching Aegis you were right they were just taking their time!" She gingerly picked up the little dragon off of the ice. She had already drawn 3 cards for these eggs, so she let the little hatchling pick his card. As the hatchling leapt up with the card, [b] The World [/b], Azenor smiled. "A great choice." Within the next hour the next one had spilled out of his own egg and chosen [b] The Hierophant [/b]. "Just one more" Azenor reassured herself. As the last one tumbled out of his egg, the first thing she noticed was his wings. They were adorned with markings so similar to her own. As they grabbed their card, she looked at them sadly, [b] The Hanged Man [/b]. Not a great card but it spelled hard ship for this little one. With a sigh she gathered all three in her arms, two glimmering with the same starlight their father did. "Let's head home, I'm sure Linnaea will be excited to meet you" she told the little ones. Under the starlight and the dimming moon, a figure watched the children. One was not a threat, but the other two could quickly become one. In silence the figure flew off, leaving a trail of stardust behind them. And if anyone had been able to see Aegis, they would've seen him look back with worry before following Azenor home. [b]Each of these hatchlings is 15kt/15g and will be on Auction house.[/b] [i]They are Gen 4 Witchborn and qualify to be Starborn because of their father![/i] [center]Whoever is not adopted by April will be trained and exalted.Please Ping me if you are intrested and they are not on the AH yet.[/center]
