Indiglo's ears perked at the question, she closed her eyes, and smiled softly to herself as she pondered the question.
"Well, I may not remember much from my childhood, but according to my mother's stories, I'd say I have gotten much better at controlling my powers. I've always loved my family, but with my powers, emotions are dangerous.
My mother enjoys telling one story of when she grounded me to my chambers for a while. She said I stormed off without much protest, however, when she finally went to go fetch me, the door to my chambers kept disappearing and reappearing all throughout the castle. By the time she was finally able to enter, I was too busy giggling to continue being upset."
Indiglo's ears drooped slightly.
"However, she was not too tired to give me a thorough lecture, and I received no dessert that night."
Indiglo looked out the window, admiring the stars above.
"My father could swear that the stars were brighter, on nights that he was out hunting. Whenever he was away, I enjoyed stargazing. Mother said that she could hear me whispering to the stars, like talking to a friend."
Indiglo turned her gaze back to her pearl, tracing her claws gently over its shiny surface.
"As for particular troubles, I do believe I almost destroyed the throne room upon my hatching. You see, there are these magic infused gemstones, that adorn the massive cavern ceiling and walls. When my parents brought me before the king and queen, I was so startled by King Dunbai, I started screaming and crying. All the power infused gemstones resonated with me, and began exploding into powerful elemental fireworks... Needless to say, everyone was thoroughly shaken by the event."
Indiglo began trying to think of any recent events that her magic has caused. Though she has significantly improved her control, there was certainly no shortage of happenings. Suddenly remembering something, she blushed slightly.
"Well, I have certainly learned to control my emotions better, social interactions have gotten much easier since. But one dragon has recently joined our clan, he's quite special I think, and I do thoroughly enjoy his company."
As Indiglo began to talk about this dragon, her pearl and scales adopted a slight glow. Indiglo's smile widened, she closed her eyes and seemed to sway to a song unheard. Grass and flowers sprouted from the tiles, and empty pages on the desk nearby folded themselves into many whimsical shapes. The room felt airy, and a relaxing fragrance seemed to permeate the air. The folded pages fluttered to and fro. When Indiglo's eyes opened again, she noticed one flower growing from the tiles and plucked it.
"Oh this one is quite pretty, do you think nature flight dragons like these kinds of flowers? I wonder what kind it is? Oh, perhaps I should read up on botany!"
Before Indiglo could get too carried away, she gestured to the room, and all the whimsical happenings that had occured.
"Erm, as you can see, it would seem that this power is something I have yet to fully restrain..."
You asked a pretty good question, so I hope this answered it well.

Indiglo, I noticed that when you were young, it seemed as though your magic expressed itself through your emotions. Did anything particularly bad ever come out of this? Do you still have problems like this nowadays?
