She knows many plants by scent alone, able to pick out specific herbs from large bundles of various plants thanks to her years dedicated to her craft. It's taken her quite a bit of time to learn all the medicinal and otherwise practical uses for the plants she collects, even taking to mixing together concoctions to cure various ailments. She's not exactly a healer but she can help with an upset stomach or a fever that won't go away, though she struggles to accept any sort of compliments for her skills since "its really just the plants doing anyway". Throughout her travels across the known world Ochre has gained more than her fair share of friends and companions, many of which see her as a mother figure of sort and as such she has taken to responding to being called "Grandma" or various other calling cards of such a nature. She'd been known to bake cookies, spiced with her own home grown and collected herbs, for those that call her grandmother or other honorary titles since those she adopts rarely have dragons to do similar little kindnesses for them. She tries not to make a big deal out of the gifted baked goods she gives others but it is always quite nice to see hatchlings faces light up when given a fresh batch of homemade cookies. Despite all her travels Ochre doesn't know much in the way of combat, relying more so on the good will of others, and her knowledge of dangerous flora, to help her out of touch situations. Thanks to her sturdy hide and strong feet she hadn't had to face to many dangers over her many years but she does try and keep at least one or two semi dangerous, if only mildly irritating plants, on her at all times just in case something happens, though she hopes to Earthshaker she never has a use for them. Her two companions, Civni the white dove and Melba the death seeker, have been with her for many years and tend to spend much of their free time on her back monching on some various nut or fruit Ochre gave them as a treat. Neither bird is overly fond of strangers but Civni has a soft spot for hatchlings and Melba is quiet and polite to older dragons. On more than one occasion the birds have helped Ochre with her work, either retrieving one of the bottles she keeps her herbs in when dealing with a customer or simply helping her to gather herbs in the first place. Sometimes Civni can be caught sneaking bites from drying herbs that hang up in the rafters of Ochre's shop, though Ochre usually pretends not to notice. To put it simply, Ochre is a kind old dragon who finally decided to settle down in a clan after spending so many years of her life exploring the world and learning all there is to know about plants. She may be an earth dragon but she always had a love for the things that grew in the soil she cultivated so carefully, and her shop is filled with plants both fresh and dried as well as various gemstones she keeps to honor her earthy roots. When she first met Soren she saw him as little more than another dragon who might need a hand here and there, but after awhile it became apparent that he might need a little more help than most other dragons, and so she decided it would be in their best interests to adopt him, sort of. He doesn’t complain all that much when she refers to him as her son, and he can in turn call her mom. Their relationship allows for a bit of a safety net of sorts between the two; Ochre’s shop acts as a safe space for Soren to be himself while Soren is a dragon Ochre can feel safe reaching out to and asking for help when she feels like she can’t go to anyone else. She knows she’s not really his mother, she didn’t even watch his egg hatch, but that won’t stop her from looking out for the young wildclaw. Amanda has a form of mutated magic that allowed her to shift her patterns and colours between any of the colours originally present on her body, but all colours must always be present somewhere. Unfortunately for her, these colours were not too helpful with camouflaging. She could, of course, pretend to be other dragons if she wished. Amanda's technical role was a performer, using her colours and quick reaction speed to flitter about in a show. She didn't really like or dislike it, truly. Thanks to [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/65244236]Asusu[/url], Amanda was on the lookout and would certainly be putting up a fight if anyone was to attack her. The rest of the Hive are focused on her as well, anxious. Amanda will primarily be listening to the advice from fellow Hive members during the game, and isn't too likely to trust anyone else during the game. She will primarily be staying away from everyone else. Her familiar did not follow her here. He has since become an expert in bugs, knowing how to properly handle and care for practically every insect in the world. While he does have a quite large array of pinned critters, he refuses to kill any animal to add to his collection, and will in fact go out of his way to ensure the safety of anything he sees. Unfortunately, spending so much time with bugs has robbed him of valuable socialization with fellow dragons. He’s very awkward around other dragons, and has no concept of casual small talk. He finds comprehending emotions to be particularly difficult. In his experience, one thing that makes other dragons like you is gifts, so he has taught himself to be an excellent cook so that he can win to others over with treats. He’s also considered to be rather naïve, believing in the best in every dragon. Ironically enough, he’s quite the opposite in most situations, being the cold realist instead of reassuring others that everything is not as bad as it seems. He always believes honesty is the best policy, even if a lie would make someone feel better. Soren is a very clingy dragon around those he warms up to. This is perhaps most obvious with Ochre, an older snapper whom he follows around like a hatchling following their mother. In fact, she is the closest thing he has to parental guidance, after both his parents were killed in a freak accident during an earthquake. (To this day, he still curls into a little ball at the tiniest tremor.) Ochre is a bit of a safe haven for him, being a dragon be can trust and be around without feeling left out, and in exchange he helps her around her shop and lends his ear for listening. Although people have tried to teach him to fight, Soren refuses to hurt another dragon. He only knows basic self-defense, and even then refuses to use it unless his life is undoubtedly in danger. When it comes to fight or flight, he is most definitely flight. Soren is followed around by three familiars: an amaranth moth, a Goliath mountain beetle, and a firebug. None are named.
