The hatchlings ([url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/92052286]Robot 1[/url], [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/92052287]Robot 2[/url], [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/92052297]Windmill 1[/url], [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/92052298]Windmill 2[/url]) were all failures. To make it even worse, I'm now wondering if I've got the right colors for Windmill. I kinda bought her on a whim because [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/scrying/predict/84262986]she looks amazing without the apparel[/url] to me for fodder price. But I was also super proud of myself for using the [gamedb item=44229], [gamedb item=30588], and [gamedb item=17263]. All items that I have a hard time using for their size or… just because, I guess, in the case of the shoulder pads. (Though one of my favorite dragons ever wears the [gamedb item=17265] now so I guess I have an inexplicable fondness for them? That ever happen to you? Where you kinda don’t like a piece of apparel and then put it on a favorite dragon and it looks great so now whenever you see that apparel you’re like, “Aw Vorik wears that. :D” That’s… that’s what happened to me.) Anyways, Exodus was, I believe, the fifth dragon I obtained in her series of fandragons. We’ve met [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/drs/3304054/1#post_55865089]Genesis[/url] a few days ago as the initial fandragon. For the most part, her apparel and skin are pretty deliberately chosen - as well as her element. That she was likely bound for exaltation was merely a bonus. Exodus herself is a bit of a mystery, a knower of languages and understander of all things arcane. Despite her intrinsic skill (and the fact that certain things just seem to work out for her), she’s nevertheless a bit unsure of herself despite a frequent certainty that she’s correct. She’s easily distracted by flash, though she’s been known to show a bit of flash herself - but she does come around to substance again eventually. Show me a dragon that is [b]Rescued[/b]! Were they a fodder rescue during a dom battle? Were they saved from dire circumstances or a bad family situation? Tell me about their lives now that they’re free! @QuackemsGO Guardians (F to a larger extent than M, but I've always loved both) were the first dragon I was ever really into. And I still. I'm certainly very happy with that single lucky scatter! But your guy. Wows. That Teal/Red combination is so good. I accidentally hatched a dragon with a similar combo as a new kid and I didn't know what I had. I search for a lookalike every now and again. But anyways, what a lucky random! and beautiful. I love the Timon & Pumba dynamic. That's hilarious and amazing. Also the use of the butterflies. That always impresses me, honestly. I can't figure out how to use those. And Hazel. *pats his head softly* Baby Spirals are so dang cute. And that set is super impressive! They look like a little pile of gemstones all together and the bit of their lore being that they're folktales or mythologies is super appealing to me. Hm. I also love that detail about teaching rhymes to hatchlings. [rule] @Achaius Absolutely! I'm significantly less choosy about where I spend my gems now than when I was new for sure. And gems well spent on your boy, I say. I love this guy. I'm die-hard fan of Flaunt - but Flair? Always. Always Flair. And I like the combo here with the Boulder. But most of all? Love those leaves on his head from the antlers. Adorable. Straight up adorable. And a wonderful match to the Flair. Sockeye is a great name, also. But also, also. I love that headband. Going with that Coral is just. It's good. Coral is one of my all time favorite colors despite having, I think, zero, so I saw her and was immediately like "good dragon, good times." But I can certainly see how she was difficult to work with. But she does look incredible now! And I like the tying it together with the wingplates. But that headband. Very good. [rule] @Lovelock [emoji=firework size=1] Ooh, what a regal looking man. Even with the update, I still say no breed does Metallic/Alloy like Banes. Also, I love a good Crackle. (Heck, I even like a "bad" Crackle, so don't go by me.) But that's a lovely skin. But really the glowing eyes just sell it. What a handsome man. Also that familiar match. My word. [rule] @itsobnoxiouslove I LOVE THAT. Using Roman numerals to name a dragon a number? That's so cool! High-class and mysterious. He's a lovely birthday present. I think I only have one dragon that shares my birthday ([url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/33031517]Cobb[/url]), but I ended up with him on accident. He also looks real good in that jester stuff. I actually really like the pink eyes peeking through the slits in the mask. Good guy, good guy. [rule] @arawoods Welcome! :D What a good girl! She's absolutely wild but somehow you've tied it all together with the genes and her outfit? I mean. Yeah. You did it. I think you win. Because I would have absolutely no idea what to do with that - and yet she's so coherent that I don't feel lost looking at her. (And my word - Maki is [i]gorgeous[/i] heck.) [font=cambria]this is a banger of an idea @Almedha! trying to actively work on dragon projects is always so hard to be consistent with. best of luck throughout the whole year, i can't wait to see what you get up to! exodus is absolutely stunning. the cream ghost is very striking imo and i love how you've paired the lavender carousel stuff to match the bubblespirit jug, goes nicely with those deep purplish blues in her primary gene. fully get that feeling of having apparel that you're just like 'dang this is unweildy to use' and then somehow it works and you're obsessed with it haha. lots of fest apparel is like that you're right but you've nailed that balance between the contrasting colours really nicely, applause from me, i still can't get either of those water jugs to work on an outfit haha. as for a rescue, i've got a couple, but here's my original fodder rescue, winter [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/323242][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/3233/323242_350.png[/img][/url] someone was doing a lair clear out and he'd already been levelled to 7 i think and was literally on the chopping block when i burst in and said WAIT STOP. and funnily enough, he's wearing a bulky fest item that i just don't normally like but he rocks it ^^

[center]I love a good Bubblespirit Jug! It stands out especially with the gold/red theme! I didn’t have any plans for him at the time so he was stashed away in my hibden for ages until I just recently found a skin that looked absolutely gorgeous on him, and voila! Back to the main den for him! He still needs a bio, maybe some lore, (for now he just has a song) but I’m glad I kept him so long :)

I often find myself going to the exalt row thread when I have space. One time I found this guy. He was just sitting around until I wanted to bring some OCs into the game and he's perfect. Oberon has been rescued many times in his lore so I think he fits perfectly. This one's tough to pick, because most of my lair is made up of rescues! We have all sorts: - Self-bred: My nests are always full, partly as a fodder mill, but I'm also prone to impulse keep anyone who particularly strikes my interest. - Bought off AH for the express purpose of exalting but I got attached and/or saw potential. - Searched for project dragon, found the perfect dragon on AH at fodder price, or in someone else's fodder tab and DMed them to buy. But I think I'm going with Galtan, the very first dragon I bought as a new player when I first discovered the AH. Based on my newbie budget I'm sure she was intended as fodder, but instead became consort to my clan ruler and I think that's pretty cool. I’ll be perfectly honest, I have always loved Moor. Nevertheless, he’s gotten more than his fair share of “ugliest dragon in the lair above you” type awards. He’s gone through more outfits than probably any of my other dragons… because I wanted him to appeal to others as much as he always appealed to me. I can’t tell you if I succeeded… you’ll have to tell me that. I guess it goes without saying that I think I did. I mean, look at him. I bought him as a cute li’l baby, because I wanted to work on that subspecies that I abandoned shortly thereafter. I gave him Paint over Shimmer and took my sweet time giving him lore, let me tell you. It wasn’t until I was inspired by someone’s Bill Cipher fandragon (having never seen Gravity Falls at the time) that I was able to come up with something pretty sweet for him. As the gamewarden of the Estate of Escape, a little plot in Wind territory where most of my dragons come and hang out sometimes, he might have just tried to out-think the dream demon himself. As an aside, I eventually got my own Bill Cipher fandragon and replaced the reference to the original inspiration. We’ll be meeting her in June if everything goes well. Show me a dragon that’s [b]unconventionally beautiful[/b]! What about them do you like most? Did it surprise you to find out that others didn’t always think the dragon was as pretty as you thought? Alembic is the second giraffe/foam/keel dragon in existence! [/quote] ...and I was like impulse project gooooo (I'd been wanting a keel dragon for a while. It's definitely situational, but imo a neat gene that gets a lot of undeserved flak.) So I bought a perfectly nice veilspun, breedchanged him and gave him keel, which is probably enough to land me in FR jail. He's my boi though. [center]I'm quite fond of Misty! I've usually seen this skin used with a more natural palette, or blues to mimic a pond, but I really like it here! To me, it's like the night sky reflected on the water, sleepy fishes waiting underneath.
