3.0 HISTORY - CHERNOGORSK OVER THE YEARS
The Scorpion King gets buried and locked away after getting caught for his numerous crimes, including but not limited to his experiments on Dusthides. His clan, the Clan of Hamunaptra, and every member (except Vladislaus) within it disappears after an attack done by the experimented Dusthides (aka. Regenerators), never to be seen again.
Next,
in chronological order you will need to read the
Lancast Zombies part and then the
Molten Rings or
Lasgalen Court as those contain some bits of information about what went on before Chernogorsk came to be as it was in Scarred Wastelands. Lancast Zombies is more of a spin-off but Vladislaus Lancast still lives with Chernogorsk after fleeing from Hamunaptra.
Before Chernogorsk, Gilgamesh was wandering around aimlessly in Abiding Boneyard of Scarred Wastelands in search of new clanmembers. He found Furia, Joshua, Foen, Trytha, Rhonda, Spidey, Goblin Jr, Wilhelmina, Hannibal, Arthur, Eames and numerous others. They made a temporary nest somewhere in the Boneyard with Gilgamesh and Furia being the lead pair. After their first hatch of one small female and another dead one, Gilgamesh banished Furia and killed off the remaining kit. He then took on Rhonda as his queen but when she also failed to produce strong, healthy kits he killed her off himself.
After hearing about an enormous
treasure located in Icewarden's castle, he headed out to the Southern Icefields in search of it. On the way he met Irisviel who had also been searching for said treasure. They decided to search for it together and they did indeed find and steal it. They also stole a fragment of shade from Icewarden and also his monsters, the two gaoler spirits who would be the start of the Lost Legends. Some of the clanmembers left at this point or were killed off by Joshua who was executing the orders of Gilgamesh. Then, the Gilgamesh and Irisviel decided to create their clan, which is nowadays still known as Chernogorsk, the clan of black mountain. This would also be the start of the Beastwars and the time of Gilgamesh's very first overthrow against anyone, the opponent specifically being Chernogorsk's predecessor clan. The idea to overthrow another clan also besides the Beastwars came up from the idea that Irisviel’s friend Patricia the seer -who joined their clan after it was created-
had informed the pharaoh pair that their clan would be overthrown by gaolers. This caused Gilgamesh to want to strengthen the clan.
Joshua gets locked up in the prison cells. Irisviel gives Gilgamesh his first sons, one of which dies and another, Amenhotep, survives but still isn't as strong as Gilgamesh's heir should be.
In the beginning
years of the clan's rule over their plague territory, Irisviel was sent to serve the Plaguebringer. Soon after Gilgamesh got a word of her dying in her servitude and was devastated. Irisviel, however had survived with the help of a familiar (her current familiar) and escaped the Wyrmwound. The pharaoh pair made another nest of hatchlings, one of which was
Rudi. He was accepted as the future heir.
After this, there were dragons who were
not impressed with Gilgamesh's rule, namely Amenhotep (since he was now overlooked as an heir) and a few others like Grayhound, Rexford and Duke (because Gilgamesh did not help them in their need). They left the clan and made a home in the giant red sand desert; the Fields of Arrakis.
Years later
Murdock finds Joshua who wants to destroy Gilgamesh but ends up not executing his plans. The unhappiness with Gilgamesh's rule is starting to show more as
Vic arrives and overthrows Gilgamesh as a king for a sole day after which Gilgamesh regains his throne.
Next was the revival of
Lasgalen Court. And a new 'cult' steps forward in the clan; the
Priests of Ra.
Fast forward when the clan had established strong presence in Scarred Wastelands and
after Gilgamesh overthrew the Plaguebringer, the pharaoh family went to live in her home at Wyrmwound. They didn't live with the clan anymore but the clan had been allowed to enter Wyrmwound whenever, as it was their territory too at that point. Gilgamesh had another pyramid built there, this time with black rocks in honor of their clan, as its name means black mountain.
At 3rd of March 2021 (on the world map revamp day), two days over four months after Gilgamesh overthrew her, the
Plaguebringer came back and Chernogorsk was in chaos, everyone panicing. Plaguebringer chased them out of the Scarred Wastelands and the clan fled into the Earth flight's territory,
Dragonhome. Gilgamesh was furious and immediately took over Earthshaker's lands, deeming the deity so much more weaker than Plaguebringer.
Now the clan has started to
rebuild a new pyramid for the clan to live in. As the rocky territory is so much different from what Scarred Wasteland was, the builders had to ask Rasmus for help as he had had some experience with forging new pathways into denser ground using explosives. The new location, decided by Irisviel, was on the small rock island in
the western part of Dragonhome's plateaus. The seemingly deep cracks on the ground surrounding the island and dividing Dragonhome into different areas are actually quite shallow and thus the clan is able to re-dig all the pathways needed for the pyramid to function, mostly, just as it did in Scarred Wastelands. There were the additions of new pathways leading to each mapped area of Dragonhome. The first thing to be built was the treasure vault were the gaoler's were and would still be held. (When it became clear that Plaguebringer would chase them out of the Wastelands, Gilgamesh locked the gaolers up in his treasure chest with the Shade remains -yet again- and transported the chest with the clan as they departed from their previous home.)
Right when the new pyramid was built and the clan was supposed to settle down, something happened and
the whole structure collapsed. It caused a few casualties and the clan was homeless yet again, causing some uproars against Gilgamesh. The plague pharaoh quickly shut the opposers down and decided that they would
live in Terraclae from now on, as it was a similar structure to that of their pyramids and the court of Lasgalen had already settled down there with the Priests of Ra. Some clan members where still a bit frustrated and missing their home in Scarred Wastelands. Terraclae was, as it was, a much different home than what they were used to. And thus Gilgamesh decided to have the second pyramid of Dragonhome built. This time on top of the Terraclae formation and with more enduring core structure.
Now Gilgamesh created a
duplicate of Dragonhome (using the Akashic records of Lasgalen Court) to be on his sole command. Or what if Gilgamesh's Dragonhome actually was the original and the now Sornieth Dragonhome was the duplicate? Who knows. But Gilgamesh swears that he now rules the real one.
At this point in time, the Earthshaker-created
Obelisks were released and the deity came to Gilgamesh to request his territory back. This resulted in the creations of III Delta Kaising, Babylon Gates and the Babylon guardians.
Renekton offed his parents -the future pharaoh pair- in order to become the next in line after Gilgamesh himself.
The pharaoh pair are
turned into gaolers on 22 of November 2021 nearing the first anniversary of Gilgamesh overthrowing the Plaguebringer. Gilgamesh was furious.
Enkidu is born and after he came of age Gilgamesh had already been in the belief that his first born gaoler son -Enkidu- would be the final nail to his casket and rule; the gaoler that would destroy his most precious Chernogorsk clan -just as was so long ago predicted. So, the plague
pharaoh arranged for Enkidu to be killed before he could even think of overthrowing Gilgamesh. However, something went wrong in the son's assasination attempt; the queen -Irisviel, Enkidu's mother- had found out about Gilgamesh's plans and as much as she had endured for Gilgamesh, this was a step too far in her opinion. Irisviel wanted to
spare Enkidu's life by giving him an antidote before Gilgamesh would poison Enkidu (poisoning was Gilgamesh's plan this time, which by itself was already akin to an act of mercy from the pharaoh) but that did not work either. Enkidu became a pile of salt taken over by a breeze of wind and carried over to the lands of Dragonhome just to be formed somewhere else, never becoming fully a dragon anymore.
Then Furia returns demanding to return to Gilgamesh's side all the while disrespecting Irisviel by turning her into a monster. The pharaoh doesn't budge in his decision to be with Irisviel and banishes Furia yet again. Furia hears about Enkidu and decides to get together with him instead. Over the course of Night of the Nocturne 2021,
Furia and Enkidu settle down in Nature flight's territory in Everbloom Gardens and hatch their first clutch of eggs.
A plan to overthrow Gilgamesh is indeed set into motion. Furia asks Amenhotep of Arrakis Fields to help them but the outcast refuses, having forgiven his father long ago. This leaves Furia and Enkidu to wait for an opportunity to attack Gilgamesh whenever his battle forces would be at their weakest after the nocturne attacks.
Furia and Enkidu find the
Scorpion King using Vladislaus Lancast's (whom they persuaded to help them) knowledge of the King's location and having more keen senses within the area. Enkidu doesn't approve of Furia's plans for marrying the Scorpion King and
gets into a fight with the powerful gaoler. Enkidu wins but the Scorpion King agrees to help overthrow Gilgamesh none the less.
Months later, on
2022 Night of the Nocturne, a war breaks out in Nature flight and Anubis Legion is forced to take part when one of their own, Rambo, gets in trouble while in Shrieking Woods.
Using this and the distraction of Night of the Nocturne overall, Enkidu, Furia and the Scorpion King make their move, attacking Catacomb City and making their way to Gilgamesh's throne. Few of the Anubis Legion members were still within the entrance of the City and managed to hold them off for a while for Gilgamesh and Irisviel to get a word of their attack. The pair prepared to defend the clan. Irisviel was in shock getting to know that the son she had wanted to save was here now, trying to harm their clan. The trio soon arrived to the pharaoh pair and a fight broke out. It would be the most legendary battle over Chernogorsk's history and would be called '
the Great Battle of Catacomb City'. And the results… well they were not what Gilgamesh had previsioned. Irisviel was hurt and Gilgamesh was forced to retreat himself when he had his shoulder torn badly by the Scorpion King. How could this have happened? Gilgamesh acted quickly before Enkidu, Scorpion King or Furia could hurt them any more. He used the power of Akashic Records and off they were not to be seen again for a long time.
Some say that the pharaoh pair hid themselves within III Delta Kaising…
As for what happened after, in Chernogorsk, was
the Scorpion King taking leadership of the clan as he was more aware of how to lead a clan than Enkidu or Furia. The two would still be next in line for the lead pair. Renekton, being now further from his goal of being the second Pharaoh, began plotting against the Scorpion King.
The Lasgalen Court is reluctant in bleeding knowledge to Scorpion so he begins the search of his previous advisor familiar
Tehran, who was supposed to be buried somewhere near his own burial ground.
After Tehran was found and the Scorpion King took him to their new clan it was clear to Scorpion that Tehran would be open to reviving their old relationship. The one beyond the point of what they were to the puplic in the past, a mateship - courting even. As it was, a good King would need a spouse beside them and who a better one than the one Scorpion used to trust with everything?
A courtship was established between Scorpion and Tehran but alas they were still not publicly involved. After a while of this, something happened - something that no one could have foreseen as it had never happened before; Scorpion birthed Tehran’s - a familiar’s - kits. The kits would be named Jagara, Beowulf and King Cerberus; a trio that would literally raise hell.
The first scandal the triplets ended up causing was that as they became of age both of Jagara’s brothers fell for her. The brothers ended up causing havoc all around them in their pursuit of trying to best the other in a fight - which King Cerberus would win. King Cerberus and Jagara then went through their most heartbreaking time, as they soon figured out that they were not able to hatch any nests. Thus the continuation of the Scorpion King’s lineage would fall onto Beowulf. The mid triplet found himself a mate in their third hell hound brigade member no less; Balrog. They hatched a nest from which only one, Alastor, would survive into adulthood. Or he was supposed to have become an adult, going by the time he had already been alive. Alastor, however, did not seem to grow at all. This posed yet another problem for the Scorpion King’s lineage; Alastor was not able to father any kits either.
The second scandal was that it seemed Beowulf and Balrog were at the end of their short time of fertility as none of their following nests hatched. So, who would continue the lineage now? Scorpion himself? Tehran and he had already succeeded once… Why not try a second time and see if they were still able to hatch a nest, a dragon and a familiar as they were…
Amids this,
Earthshaker gets a whiff that Gilgamesh's rule has ended and surfaces up back to his original territory. The Hell Hound Brigade end up bringing him in front of the Scorpion King, whom could care less about Earthshaker and thus he is released and allowed to go back to his duties as a deity of Dragonhome. This causes a rift to happen and Gilgamesh's Dragonhome dimension, the first plane, gets wiped out. Afterwards, rest of the Anubis Legion return to Chernogorsk with Rambo and Sylvester as
the war within Viridian Labyrinth against Shadow flight has ended.
The Scorpion King manages to hatch one more nest with Tehran, this resulting in
Ghanima and her sister Yachiro who dissappears. Ghanima is crowned as the heiress to Scorpion and is engaged to Khvoy, a royal from Plague flight. When Ghanima comes of age, she and Khvoy are married and mated in a seremony where they swap their sunstones.
Khvoy becomes power hungry and tries to take over Ghanima's position as the future heir and downgrade her and the rest of the pharaoh family, behaving not unlike Gilgamesh. The two hatch their own heir, Irulan, in the mids of this.
Suddenly amids all the peace and quiet,
Tehran disappears. He left no trace, no note or any indicators that he was unhappy or unsatisfied with his life within the clan. Scorpion could not fathom why or what had happened to cause Tehran to leave just like that. And then he hears rumours about a new clanmember.
A potionmaster. And none of his clanmembers really trust the imp… The Scorpion King decides to investigate him and after a good while of this, it became clear to Scorpion that the imp of a potionmaster was not the culprit behind Tehran's disappearance. Something far more sinister was going on. All the signs he had gathered told him that his
Regenerators, who were supposed to be long gone, were still alive. And someone had gone and awakened them...
