By the time Day 7 rolled around, most of them had completed their chosen events, or significant portions thereof. [center][url=http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/fl8/2367732][img]https://i.imgur.com/hELdvFg.png[/img][/url][/center] It was a monthly tradition for the clan's strongest fighters to battle monsters in a quest for deities' tokens. Sturmwelle had led her team, as usual, and they had returned with a haul of Eternal Snow, which would be stored in the Vault until next January (snowball fights notwithstanding). They would have to nip back quickly for the closing ceremony, but for now most of them were happy to show off their participants' medals. Also, Metalicana had gotten a souvenir scarf shoved at him by one particularly plucky attendant. Your Name: JinxMoonstone Element: Ice Entry: Winter Carnival recap As usual, there was much scrambling to find time to participate in all the activities. Lore writing, dress up, and the subspecies riddles were all daily stops. The mad lib-esque RNG storyline hosted by another ice clan also provided daily entertainment. For my own event, there were the daily recaps to write, along with the random prizes, as well as reading the entries and trying to catch any errors. And then... there's more! Trying to fit in coliseum grinding to get all the chests (1 dropped in gathering, 2 dropped in the coliseum, and 3 had to be purchased) as well as finding out I didn't prep Baldwin materials ahead of time as much as I thought. Taking a break from all of that, I went searching for some candidates to wear the new ice apparel. My clan's lore doesn't fit the chains all that well, but I loved what it did to the wings of some tundras waiting for their genes. Did I mention nabbing all the marketplace familiars to get caught up? No? That too! With the purchase of a cheap boss and some materials for a Swipp trade, I'm down to three non-KS related familiars to get. Whew. All the bags she carried around with her weighed heavily on her body. She tugged on the edge of the mask that covered her face to get it back in place and hoped that it would be enough to obscure her identity. What would her clanmembers think if they saw their leader on a Carnival, packed with loot and festival goodies? In the worst case scenario nobody would take her seriously anymore. The Skydancer cursed quietly as one of the heavier bundles slipped from her back. She caught it just in time before it landed on the floor. It would have been a shame if the beautiful vase inside got damaged on the way home. With an unhappy groan, Blumiose shouldered the weight again and checked if everything else was safely in place. She and her clanmembers had had so much fun this Crystalline Gala. Blumiose chuckled as she remembered seeing Thibi and Aloshani arguing heatedly over the riddles at Archivist's Abstruse Enigma. They had been pretty successful in the end, but it still wasn't clear yet if their joined efforts paid off. Blumiose was also still a bit worried about everyone participating in the Winter Olympics. Most of them seemed completely out of place in the disciplines they chose. She had high hopes in Coriolane, but she still couldn't imagine how one of the ruthless mercenary sisters competing in figure skating of all things was something that would happen. Once she brought all of her stuff to a safe space she would return to watch all of the competitions and support her clanmates like a good leader. But before she did all that, she had one last stop to make at Dress in Your Best competition. The last category was still open for judging and Blumiose wouldn't let the opportunity pass. She just hoped nobody would recognize her. It seemed that some of the dragons now thought that this season was his favorite, and that he would thoroughly enjoy attending an Ice Carnival, and recording the Clan's experiences there. In fact, George's favorite season was Summer, and he did NOT like the cold, which caused his paws to cramp, or attending Carnivals, which cut into his his writing time. Ah, well. It could be worse. At least he was getting to write. So, where to begin… ...The Coli? George winced at the thought. [b]Your Name:[/b] Azera [b]Element:[/b] Light [b]Entry:[/b] Day 6 ( Day in the Coliseum) [center][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=24097492] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/240975/24097492_350.png[/img] [/url] [/center] As NightSky and Blaze looked in the lair for their next trainee, their eyes settled on a young female coatl, named MysticTopaz. She lacked any real fighting skills, but she was eager to prove herself. The trio descended upon the Coliseum grounds and headed for the Boreal Woods. Needless to say, it didn't go well for the lvl 1 fledgeling, but they did bring home some food items, 8 piles of eternal snow, and she did earn 4 levels. They reassessed their strategy, and decided that maybe they should try other venues, so the visited Redrock Cove, Volcanic Vents, and Blooming Grove, which went much better, but lacked any fighting experience. There was only one chest with a skin in it, a nice amount of eternal snow, and a nice ar[b]ray[/b] of foods. Lalitha even won a Lore Writing contest where the prizes she will receive are a [i]Chillspike Crown, Cragward Custodian, Snowfall Robe,[/i] and [i]Winter Wind! [/i] WintersKiss is in Fortune's Game of Wit and Luck on Team 11, who is in a three way tie for 2nd place last I checked.Frost was in part of Sornieth Winter Games, and even showed off his grandmother's sweater in one outfit. And last but definitely not least, we all had a little go at participating in the Lore Writing Competition! This has been fairly challenging at times, but also always fun!
