It's a competition between clans from every flight to see who can come out on top and bring home the gold! Seven events will run during the Gala - enter up to [b]five[/b] to earn tickets to the Ice Flight Gala raffles and special prizes. In the distance, you can see the luge track and a huge ice castle being built. But before you get distracted with all the sights and sounds of the festival, you need to enter your clan into the Sornieth Winter Games, hosted by Clan Diamond Dust. A slightly bored looking Spiral manning the information booth points you down the midway. The short stroll makes for some enjoyable sightseeing on your way to the Winter Games check-in area (example booths and merchandise show below). A cheerful, energetic Spiral greets you at the booth, "Hello! Take a minute and look over this brochure. Your clan can compete in five of our seven events through the course of the week. "I'm here to register for Figure Skating." The events were running concurrently this year, due to travel schedules, so dragons had to pick a time slot to compete. Since she had signed up early, Lily had a lot of flexibility in choosing when she would do her routine in front of the judges. As there were so many other activities during the Gala, she opted to go on Day 1. Having practiced in the offseason, the Skydancer felt fully prepared, although it certainly helped that this was her home rink and she didn't need to have any training sessions to get used to it. As she looked down the course, a huge grin spread across her face. Nothing was more exciting than racing down the icy track, taking the turns at breakneck speeds, feeling the cold air rush by her. The starting pistol jolted her into action. She flew down the track, avoiding even tiny errors that might hurt her place in the standings. Now, she just had to wait for her competitors to finish so she could truly see how she did.
