@/Charboner, @/Quagsire, that's unrelated to the update. That's the EU GDPR compliant privacy notice. If you're using a script blocking or adblocking extension when interacting with the legally required notice, your cookie preference is not being recorded. That's the one cookie that has to be recorded or you will continue to see this pop-up.
It is definitely related to this issue, because it became widespread for people without adblockers as soon as the update went live. Blocking ads is the only way to stop the popup happening on every single page.

Hi @
Vendrus, the white banner/bar cookie notice is the EU notification for ads, for people accessing the site from countries under GDPR. This means it's more persistent/insistent if your browser isn't properly storing the cookie with your desired settings, as the ad provider is legally required to have your cookie preference documented. This has happened before, we've seen it before, and it's typically script blockers or extensions like Ghostery preventing the ad preference cookie from being stored correctly.
It's also worth noting that if someone's browsing the site using incognito/private mode, that means your cookie preference won't be stored because that's the whole point of that particular browser mode. Which leads to regular ad notification pop-ups, which I've experienced myself when testing in private mode.
The ad network update is to allow a different provider to serve ads. It's possible that you're receiving ads from a different network at different times and if the cookie settings notification for each network didn't store properly in your browser, that could be why this is happening.
My point in the quoted comment is that this banner is not a bad or misbehaving ad, but a cookie storage issue and I could have been clearer there. That's on me and I apologize for the unclear communication. This thread is for misbehaving ads so we can squash them. Otherwise the thread will be derailed. if properly accepting the notification in a regular mode browser without a script blocking extension or an extension like Ghostery running doesn't work, that's worth its own separate thread or a ticket through Contact Us.

I've been getting these ads for a betting site on my ipad. I can't inspect elements on the ipad, but I was using Safari, and the operating system is iOS 16.4.1 (a).

I dunno if like. Ads for betting on stuff is against the rules. But uh, just in case, here it is (I unfortunately can't find a way to look at the funny code stuff on my phone.)

Still getting this Choice Hotels ad that makes the screen borders glow, then breaks its boundary to stick onto my screen

Hey look, my first pop-out ad!

As if the pop-out wasn't bad enough, the ad caused flashing around the border of my screen which could cause issues for photosensitive players
Google Chrome, Windows

I just got the same ad, glad I'm not the only one experiencing it. It was horrible and I was genuinely frightened thinking it was malware or somethin.

i hope this is an appropriate thread to post in, i have seen others report NSFW ads here so i thought i should as well:
here it is, in link form since it's suggestive. might not exactly seem so at first, but this
is a bit of a popular joke/troupe tied to NSFW, so i wouldn't say it's appropriate for 13+
funny thing is that i got it twice in one go, lol
safari IOS, i can't get the source code but it seems someone else did a couple posts ago
