I'm using Firefox on a MacBook. [s]turned off my adblocker to look for weird ads just to procrastinate on an assignment[/s] I saw a couple that are taking up too much space on the bottom of the site, like this Adobe one (url at the bottom) And here's another: This one had a short and sweet url: There's also this one. The ad itself doesn't have a url when I hover over it, but the buttons within it do. They're all from the same domain, with different gibberish after that. @decomposedcarrot, thank you for the screenshot. These changes were not in place on the day of your report, which is very helpful information. Thank you!

Using Google Chrome and Windows, I repetitively get a message asking me to allow cookies each time I click on something on the website, or refresh the page. (It's not convenient for me to provide a screenshot at the moment).

@DeathByPixels, thank you for your report! Part of our compromise with being a free-to-play game with ad support is allowing the bottom advertising bar to be dynamic within a set pixel parameter. Ads need to stay within the bottom bar and not overlap the page, play videos or sounds (some light animation is allowed), or add effects to your browser. In other words, they need to stay in the box and not make noise. If they're doing that, they're okay.

@Charboner, @Quagsire, that's unrelated to the update. That's the EU GDPR compliant privacy notice. If you're using a script blocking or adblocking extension when interacting with the legally required notice, your cookie preference is not being recorded. That's the one cookie that has to be recorded or you will continue to see this pop-up.

@Aequorin Thanks for the prompt response! I'm not using an adblocker - it just happens ever now and then with varying levels of frequency. It seems like instead of being served once and then being done, the preference might be being served per ad, because it pops up randomly and with enough consistency to get in the way of regular gameplay. For example, here's me getting it again (on desktop once again, Google Chrome) after sending the image above, where I rejected all the preferences: ETA: And another not long after:

W10 - Google Chrome Reloaded pages to check ads, and I would say they were ads cos casino sides for the majority of the time. No Hivecomics ads and a couple seemingly harmless ads for like clothing stores and Adobe.
It might be good to go into detail of what counts as an inappropriate/problematic ad (even some of the obvious) for those who may not be aware!
I would also like more information for what's considered a bad ad on the site, especially for things that are considered inappropriate for the site. For example, would a rather vague dirty joke in an ad be inappropriate?
