I believe I've found some issues with Ringlets. I know it isn't a very popular gene, and I know you guys probably don't look here all too often, but I still wanna report it.
Ringlets is kindof odd. In a lot of cases, I found it doesn't seem to have any shading whatsoever. It's a very flat-looking gene.
^Here's an example of that on a Basic/Basic/Ringlets XXX Silver. You can see the ringlets very clearly through the shadows.
I wanted to perhaps try to see it a little better, so I tried changing the colors to XXX Obsidian, and I found a much worse issue
^There are colors that show up as part of the patterning, but only through the shadows. On lit parts of the dragon, it's just flat, unaccented color. It's basically nonexistent on Basic/Basic dragons.
But let me tell you, it's a whole lot worse on Ridgeback Males.
^Shown on an XXX Black for the contrast. It has that same issue where there's different colors that appear only in the shadows, but it also has this border of pixels on most of that patterning. It's glaringly obvious on the wings. This border seems to appear with all colors on Ridgeback Males.
And to put things into perspective, here's an XXX White Wildclaw Male.
^He still has the first issue mentioned, where Ringlets isn't really shaded properly, but it's not nearly as bad as shadow patterns and whatnot. Here, the Ringlets is nearly invisible on all parts of him.
Please try to fix this. While most people don't really, I quite enjoy Ringlets. I think it can work absolutely beautifully on a lot more color combos than Crackle or Gembond ever could.
