Not that staff seems to even look at this thread but but every species is missing Veined gene markings on their far wings. Some species it's not very noticable with their wings being covered, but on others it's VERY noticeable. Is it intentional? Because honestly it makes them look incomplete. I saw one mention of baby SDs and Black Laced like... 10 pages back. Someone replying thought it was the shading them n/m'ed themselves? Nope, you're right, random poster whose name I can't recall. It -is- the shading. It's so much more noticeable on light colors, and it's not nearly as dark on the wings. The highlights are also much lighter. Here it is in Pearl... I believe I've found some issues with Ringlets. I know it isn't a very popular gene, and I know you guys probably don't look here all too often, but I still wanna report it.

Ringlets is kindof odd. In a lot of cases, I found it doesn't seem to have any shading whatsoever. It's a very flat-looking gene.

dragon?age=1&body=5&bodygene=0&breed=10&element=1&eyetype=3&gender=1&tert=5&tertgene=23&winggene=0&wings=5&auth=912278ed4afdcf264461ba6a0eea81f55ed37b85&dummyext=prev.png
^Here's an example of that on a Basic/Basic/Ringlets XXX Silver. You can see the ringlets very clearly through the shadows.

I wanted to perhaps try to see it a little better, so I tried changing the colors to XXX Obsidian, and I found a much worse issue

dragon?age=1&body=10&bodygene=0&breed=10&element=1&eyetype=3&gender=1&tert=10&tertgene=23&winggene=0&wings=10&auth=3fb2f3f49973e672618346d2a341db2bbf220f5e&dummyext=prev.png
^There are colors that show up as part of the patterning, but only through the shadows. On lit parts of the dragon, it's just flat, unaccented color. It's basically nonexistent on Basic/Basic dragons.

But let me tell you, it's a whole lot worse on Ridgeback Males.

dragon?age=1&body=9&bodygene=0&breed=5&element=1&eyetype=3&gender=0&tert=9&tertgene=23&winggene=0&wings=9&auth=0a26f537579f9d193b5e3c7f266bcdc365df1481&dummyext=prev.png
^Shown on an XXX Black for the contrast. It has that same issue where there's different colors that appear only in the shadows, but it also has this border of pixels on most of that patterning. It's glaringly obvious on the wings. This border seems to appear with all colors on Ridgeback Males.

And to put things into perspective, here's an XXX White Wildclaw Male.

dragon?age=1&body=2&bodygene=0&breed=10&element=1&eyetype=3&gender=0&tert=2&tertgene=23&winggene=0&wings=2&auth=0f1a578cbdcce0b3b3fa71a6539537c9f234bb8b&dummyext=prev.png
^He still has the first issue mentioned, where Ringlets isn't really shaded properly, but it's not nearly as bad as shadow patterns and whatnot. Here, the Ringlets is nearly invisible on all parts of him.

Please try to fix this. While most people don't really, I quite enjoy Ringlets. I think it can work absolutely beautifully on a lot more color combos than Crackle or Gembond ever could.

So, on Fade, the brand new primary gene, Is it a coloring error that the bellies of dragons in most colors retain the exact same flat single color as seen in their Basic gene, while a few colors add in that soft gradient advertised by the gene? The gradient on the belly appears in so few colors (Maize, White (barely), Ice, Silver, Grey, Thistle, Purple, Violet, Splash, Steel, Turquoise, Honey, Brick) that it's kind of weird. Though I'll admit more of them might be so subtle they're very difficult to see, though I checked Plum Faded with a color picker and it's all flat (and nearly identical in color to Basic) so there is evidence for bellies in faded being flat colors.

I doubt this is a bug - there's other genes where only some have an accent colour (or additional accent). Ghost is a notable example.

Is the weird brown spots normal on pearlcatchers like this?

Grape Squiggle turns the horns gray on banescale males EDIT- with squiggle, the lower part of the horns is also a different color than the tert on all banescales, but some colors (like fern) are noticeably different between males and females. For example, on females fern has a blue gray color, while on males it’s more of a cream color. For Orca, females have a coral pink while males have a dull gray. I’m not sure if the lower color over all is an error, but all the color discrepancies are very noticeable.
