Biography
Farkku was second youngest out of his four siblings his older brother Hjalmar being very bossy towards all of them. He thought he was some kind of general and was constantly demanding they’d work for benefit of their clan being very aggressive if someone was just benefiting without contributing. Farkku feared Hjalmar a little bit and wanting to seem stronger he actively acted opposite to what he was telling them to do leading to Hjalmar often ordering him and even pulling his antennae. Even if Farkku wasn’t acting against his brother he was next to not interested in doing work and asked their big sister Minttuviini to do the tasks. Unlike Hjalmar Minttuviini was very chill never seeming mad and she was always on good mood ready to help. Hjalmar didn’t like how Farkku used his sister to do all of his work but Minttuviini had no issues with it and often stood to support Farkku not fearing angry Hjalmar because of the spoiled fruits she liked to eat. Hjalmar left the clan after few weeks aiming for high rank in the Observatory leaving his three siblings behind. For Farkku that was good news he no longer needing to fear being hit if he didn’t want to work. However, it was very hard for him to let go of his negative mindset he had developed to counter his brother’s demands and kept reacting cynically to what others were doing. That usually led others to give him pejorative looks like Hjalmar had done and he often left the scene rarely feeling like doing something to fix his status. Because of his negative mindset and cynical comments he gave to others Farkku soon noticed to be rather disliked though luckily not hated. He didn’t mind being shunned out he being able to show others he was not hurt by lack of dragon company. If he wanted to have company he just found Minttuviini who ate spoiled fruits often hidden the rest of the clan not liking the habit. Farkku understood why that was the case the fruits usually making Minttuviini sick but he was willing to stand that he finding her be entertaining company. Farkku didn’t like doing chores he was supposed to do and often asked Minttuviini to do them for him even if she was sick. She never seemed to have anything against that and Farkku often brought her some spoiled fruits as thanks. They kept doing that for months Farkku spending his time hiding when the clan was organizing gatherings or other project coming to keep an eye on Minttuviini during clan’s conferences. Later during Thundercrack Carnivale clan’s smithy collapsed killing two dragons one of them being Farkku’s half-sister. Farkku was watching as the clan cleaned up the rocks now blocking the smithy wondering where Minttuviini was. She usually came to see what was going on when clan was this full of fuss but now her noisy presence was nowhere to be seen or heard. Getting a bit worried Farkku sneaked out of the crowd before someone would ask him to help lift the rocks, which was pointless the two dragons having already been gotten out, and went to seek for his sister. He found Minttuviini in one of her hideouts being surrounded by spoiled fruits like usual looking somehow worse than what she usually did. She was happy to see Farkku asking him what was going on in the clan Farkku explaining the situation. She was more quiet than what she usually was and Farkku thought about getting a healer to see her but she asked him to not to saying she was fine. Trusting her he stayed with her till the Sun was seen behind the trees and went to his own nest. Farkku visited Minttuviini the following night bringing her some water and some meat for her to eat. She though did not like meat and asked him to bring some fruits which he did she looking somehow angry without them. The following night was similar with Minttuviini looking even worse than before and Farkku decided to sleep with her making sure she would be alright. They slept side by side Farkku eventually realizing he had fallen asleep the Sun being up again. He turned to Minttuviini she being totally silent and tried to wake her up only to get no reply. He tried again pushing her to wake her up but she did not move and Farkku felt fear rising within him. He left Minttuviini and went to look for Kyogre, his younger brother, finding him sleeping under a tree. Farkku woke him up he being confused by that the two having never been that close. He asked what the matter was and Farkku not knowing or not wanting to acknowledge the answer only said Minttuviini’s name and asked him to follow with the movement of his head trying to stay calm. What Farkku had feared turned out to be true and Kyogre had berated him for having allowed her to keep eating the fruits despite knowing why she had been forbidden to eat them. Farkku felt bad and stayed away from the rest of the clan for few nights not wanting to see his father Tapio who had lost two of his daughters within few nights. He was feeling guilty for not having gotten help for his sister despite having seen her bad state and started to act more negatively to get the feeling out of his chest hiding into the wood when his clan mates got annoyed by that. Farkku had hard time accepting the fact he had let that happen to his sister and spent his nights walking the wood sulking in the hides in which he used to hide with Minttuviini. One night he happened to meet with Kyogre doing his work and having noticed Farkku’s sulking he gave him a woolly walrus to keep him company now that Minttuviini was gone. Farkku wasn’t sure how the walrus was supposed to help him and just talked to it about things he had done with his sister when they were hiding back in the nights. All the nights were the same for Farkku he occasionally visiting the lair to sleep, eat and let out his negative thoughts but other than that he just walked back and forth the wood. Later the clan had lost their judge, Karmiini, and it was busy searching for her while Farkku was busy avoiding being ordered to join. As he was walking in the wood, however, he arrived to one of the old hideouts with a hole on the ground. Usually Farkku just walked past it knowing where it was but this time he heard some weak voice in the hole. Confused he took a look and saw Karmiini being tied up in there looking weak begging him to help. She was in a bad spot Farkku having no way to get her out of there. He could have gotten help from the lair but Morgana was currently in charge and fearing she might blame him for Karmiini’s state decided to leave without a word. He though was worried about the older pearlcatcher and returned the following night to check how she was doing feeling bad hearing her pleads she usually being the one to be plead to. When Farkku returned third time Karmiini was totally silent. She had usually started to call for him when his legs kicked leaves on the ground and Farkku stopped to stomp to hear if she said anything. She stayed silent and upon taking a look Farkku saw she lied there eyes closed. Flashing back to when Minttuviini had been in similar state Farkku realized that if he did not act now Morgana would smash him for real if and when the Gossip Queen Witchi eventually told her he had known about this. Farkku ran to the lair straight to Morgana hoping she would listen as he tried to explain he had found the judge. The right-hand dragon was not known to be good listener but this time she listened asking Farkku to show them the way once he managed to explain what the situation was. Farkku was not a good runner and his legs were begging for mercy as he ran back to the hole almost running into it. The group with her lifted the old pearlcatcher out of the hole Farkku watching that nervous. He almost passed out upon hearing Witchi scream behind him but apparently it was not about him the crowd turning to hold up someone else. Karmiini turned out to be alive and Farkku gave a sigh of relief upon hearing that. He barely realized that Morgana, who never complimented anyone, came to thank him after which Kyogre came to meet him. He was sure Farkku had not been looking for Karmiini which Farkku admitted saying he had found her by accident few nights ago hoping the Gossip Queen was not listening. Kyogre gave Farkku a warning look before pointing out this went better than with Minttuviini giving Farkku a pat to back with his wing as he left. As Farkku watched his brother leave walking past Morgana without saying a word of what Farkku had just said Farkku turned to his walrus saying he seemed to be able to do at least something before escaping the gathering group to the wood. 
Farkku spent his nights like the ones before them hiding in the wood avoiding chores coming to see what was going on in the lair occasionally. He had done that for so long that no one ever looked for him they either assuming he had either found a good hide, which he had many, or knew that he would just point out all the negative things and was thus not worth finding. He was a bit confused when Saana came to meet him his walrus helping him to escape Farkku not being interested in becoming her boyfriend nor was he interested about hearing her whine. Life carried on more or less normal Farkku being able to avoid most dramas in the clan. However, one evening when getting something to eat before needing to hide from gathering organizer his walrus suddenly attacked him. Farkku was able to avoid major injuries only getting few scratches from its tusks and high pressure bolts of water it had started shooting. Reaching the healers to get those injuries checked on the other hand was a big obstacle every familiar in the lair having suddenly lost their mind. Farkku got himself patched soon enough and tried to hide in the wood to not get dragged to solve the mess. It though no longer was as good of a hide as it had been the familiars now roaming in there attacking if they encountered a dragon. Farkku was forced to stay in the lair to avoid his hides to be revealed. In there he had not enough hides and he was forced to join gatherings those being oddly calming when compared to the mess that the lair had become, when the actual work was excluded. Farkku was expecting the life to return normal but got more and more skeptical as time went on with no improvement when it came to familiars. One evening he was watching the familiar-keeper try to solve what was wrong with the familiars when an earthquake caught the entire clan off guard Farkku falling off the rock on which he had lied on. Everyone was confused by the turn of effect Farkku wondering what could make the situation any worse the clan having now huge walls. He soon regretted having thought about that Shadow coming forth to say she and Sapny were going to summon the Shade in few days, and the clan could not escape the event. Farkku was afraid of what was to come and seeing what the mages did to one of them as warning didn't make him any calmer, quite the opposite with Saana getting an idea of turning everyone having turned her down to familiars because of that. There was some kind of curse casted on the lair that turning everyone who was not dragon into violent animals and dragons turned into animals were not safe from the curse. Farkku decided to hide to avoid the fate at least Skye met and avoided Saana like she was the Shade itself. The days crawled by Farkku deciding to come see how things would turn out when the fated day arrived he trying to hide between big dragons to avoid being seen by Saana. That turned out to be a bad idea a wyvern arriving as the Sun was eclipsed it taking control over everyone in the lair forcing them to battle each other when they refused to submit to Them. Farkku was about to change his mind about the offer presented to avoid being hurt too badly when they were freed by convenient interference. Farkku wasn't sure where he was supposed to be when the dragons in the lair started their attack to capture the summoners and just tried to not end up under anyone bigger. He tried to get away from the chaos and happened to sneak past the group that was trying to capture Megabrain when a bottle was thrown to him. He was not meant to catch it but did so out of instinct trying to get away before someone were to drag him into the battle. He took the bottle with him because he had no idea where to throw it and soon regretted having done that. Roots and other plants were growing rampant in the lair as side effect of Glade trying to win the group attempting to capture him. As Farkku tried to get away he stumbled due to one of the roots and as he hit the ground the bottle rolled to Saana out of all dragons. The pearlcatcher had annoyed look on her face and she clearly prepared to throw the bottle to Farkku neither having any idea of what the liquid did when Kyogre rushed to interrupt them he smashing the bottle to the ground black smoke being released on them. Saana ran away while Farkku having gotten to his feet ran to see his brother his head starting to turn somewhat transparent. It looked worrying and having no idea of what to do Farkku ran away to find someone who could know what to do. After running in chaos for some time he spotted Ayla who he knew sold magic stuff and assumed she knew at least something about magic liquids. He made his way to the bogsneak and told her what he could in short period of time she asking him to show the way. Back at Kyogre he was starting took like some kind of ghost and Ayla started to go through items she had. As Ayla was treating Kyogre managing to stop the "ghostition" process Farkku's walrus arrived it having gotten back to normal. Farkku was very happy and the two went to hide until the situation was to calm down after which they were asked to help with cleaning the mess hiding in the lair being near impossible due to all the magic users in there. After they started to leave and the wall was lowered Farkku decided to check his hides most of them being as he had left them. With that he decided to return to the life as it had been before the incident hiding from work and potential threats that were to rise in the clan.
Farkku’s life stayed mostly the same following the summoning incident he just staying out of the lair to avoid other dragons. Some time after the summoning incident, as he was processing what had happened, he got a little nervous. One of the summoners, Shadow to be precise, was his mother and with him spending so much time outside the lair Farkku became worried if the clan started to think he was his mother’s spy. Kyogre spent more time in the lair, though not a lot because of how he looked, and Farkku asked his brother if his fears were justified. What the bogsneak had heard didn’t hint towards anyone even acknowledging his parentage and Farkku calmed down a little. Because of the summoning incident and the small thought that maybe there was someone, who Kyogre didn’t know about, who assumed Farkku worked for his mother he avoided entering the lair as long as possible. He visited the cafeteria early afternoon before most of the residents woke up and left as soon as he had arrived. All the news reports he asked from Kyogre as an excuse to see how he was doing. He had grown to worry about his bogsneak brother since the incident but he was not entirely sure why. During the Starfall Celebration Kyogre mentioned feeling a little woozy and during the Arcane House Party mid-January that feeling returned but it was a little worse. Farkku was keeping an eye on the situation and when Kyogre mentioned feeling even more woozy during the House Cup he suggested him to see a healer. It all felt familiar and Farkku really didn’t want to lose yet another sibling. Kyogre was not going to see the healer just yet but he promised to do so if he started to feel even worse. Some time after the House Cup the clan experienced another takeover attempt. Farkku had noticed the ominous mist and went to warm Kyogre instead of getting something to eat. The two stayed out of the lair wondering what they should do and when they heard battle noises the two stepped into the lair to see what was going on. There was nothing for them to do and everything ended with Shadow and Sapny returning. Farkku hid behind his brother until the two left after which Kyogre went to hear what had happened while Farkku decided to get out of the tense lair and catch some bugs to eat himself the hunger getting unbearable. Things seemed peaceful despite of the return of the summoners but soon enough Kyogre didn’t only feel very woozy, he started to feel very sick. The brothers weren’t sure if it was because of the approaching Starfall or because of the summoners, but whatever the reason was Kyogre kept his word and went to see the healer. Farkku wished him luck and stayed outside the lair worried of his brother his familiar helping him the best he could. The following afternoon Farkku went to see if Kyogre had returned to his usual spot but the bogsneak was not there. Assuming he had stayed in the healing offices he made his way to the cafeteria in where he asked if Pix had heard anything about Kyogre. Kyogre was clan’s meteorologist and him getting into the healing offices would probably be a hot topic among the clan mates and what better place to talk about those hot topics than the cafeteria. Pix had not heard anything about Kyogre and was rather surprised when Farkku had brought that up. As she asked if something had happened Farkku just asked her to forget about it and the chef knew to not ask for more. Farkku could have visited the healing offices to see if Kyogre was alright but the temple was always full of dragons and he didn’t want to go in there. Instead he decided to return to the wood and check Kyogre’s place again the following afternoon. After midnight Farkku decided to take a walk with his walrus familiar. While doing that they heard a group of dragons not that far away and that being rather unusual they decided to check what the fuss was all about. The group was all clan residents they swarming around something. As Farkku got closer few let him closer to whatever it was some saying they were sorry. Farkku didn’t know what they meant by that but he soon figured it out it making Farkku’s legs feel numb. What others had found was Kyogre, or rather what was left him. Farkku didn’t know what to think and the walrus helped him leave the scene as leaders arrived to see the situation. Farkku located one of his hides and lied down in there head empty. He had no will to go to the lair and eat and his walrus took care of him the best he could. After few afternoons he decided lying down there starving would not help anyone and he got up to change the location. He could have visited the lair to see if the culprit had been caught, or if the body had been burnt already, but Farkku wasn’t feeling like doing so just yet. Soon a young nocturne came to look for Farkku. Puolanka was trying to figure out what had happened to Kyogre and he had come to see Farkku because the two were brothers and thus probably quite close. Farkku had visited Kyogre occasionally but he would not call them close. He though had happened to meet with the bogsneak just before his death and told what he knew which wasn’t much. As the nocturne left thanking Farkku for the information he hoped he was not a suspect. Because Kyogre was no more Farkku had to find another way to hear what was going on in the clan. He could have visited his father but he was always busy and lived in the middle of the clan making visiting him hard for Farkku. Luckily Svecica had started to host nightly news announcements and they could be heard near the lair border as well. Farkku sneaked to the border when it was time for the news and by that way he was able to hear that the culprit had been found and the trial was to be held soon. After that the clan would burn the body of Kyogre. The one having killed Kyogre was clan’s novice healer Noonan who was exiled from the clan because of the constant harm she caused. Farkku didn’t usually partake clan meetings be they trials or other types of meeting but he had made an exception that night. He was passive throughout the trial only wanting to see what the clan would do to the healer. The night after the trial the clan burnt Kyogre’s body Farkku arriving to see that too. He stayed in the sanctuary for the longest, excluding the priestess, until the Sun was up after which he returned to the wood with his walrus to be alone like he had been for so long already.

  Name origin: Shortened from "farkkukangas" which means "denim" in Finnish. His primary color is "denim" and he overall has very denim like colors.

Traits
Farkku is naturally bluish grey arcane skydancer but having been annoyed by how his blue belly liquid keeps getting pointed out he has hidden his true look behind a spell he bought for himself. The spell doesn’t change his look too much turning him more grey with black tiger stripes and legs. His belly and wing membrane turn cyan with thick black stripes while his feathers, mane and tail tuft become bluish grey with darker stripes. His tail tuft is wispy and his mane, though somewhat long, rests on his back instead of standing up all the way from his forejewel to his tail tuft. His antennae though are impressively long and can either stand up or lie against his head. His forejewel is rhombus shaped and slightly dull with some black veins due to the spell. He has turned his eyes slightly darker with a vial. Farkku doesn’t really care what he looks like and has just picked some black and dark clothes to fit his negative attitude. He has a simple black vest, simple black hank around his neck and dark blue bandana with black border which he had asked to be added. His outfit is very simple and he doesn’t care to make it any more complicated not wanting to have too much clothes to clean. Farkku is known for his ignorant and monotone voice that seems to lack any hints of positivity. He often sounds tired or uninterested and it is not unheard of his voice to have groaning effects. He has clean American accents.
Farkku is best known for his pessimistic and cynical attitude towards everything. He started to see things negative as a counter against his brother and having looked for negative aspects as proofs he has learned to notice them while all the positive aspects remained hidden for him. That remained even after the brother left and not having a brother to who say his negative opinions to he often says them to whoever he happened to be looking. That often annoys others and Farkku usually not knowing anything about the thing he is criticizing usually doesn’t have constructive comments to give leading him to be disliked. Farkku is aware of that and doesn’t really care seeing negative things as norm when it comes to life. Farkku doesn’t really care about having company and is rarely seen with other dragons. If he is seen in a crowd he has usually just come to see what is happening most likely leaving as soon as he has said his opinion. Farkku is a bit lazy and not liking to do chores he usually hides in the wood where he usually spends his time rarely doing anything worth mentioning. Other times he just walks back and forth in there trying to avoid other dragons that might reveal him to the leaders. Though having very little interest towards other dragons Farkku cares for his family having been very close with his sister. He asks help from his father before going to anyone else. He used to prioritize his brother but he has since passed away. Farkku’s brother gifted him a woolly walrus when he was feeling down after losing his sister and though being skeptical at first Farkku has learned to appreciate his company. Kangas the walrus is creature of few words literally being able to speak only handful of them. He though tends to practice more when not with Farkku the two being together if they feel like it. Kangas acts as old man figure for Farkku being there if he wants to talk being a good listener having few wise words to share with his dragon companion. Sometimes he joins him when he is walking through the wood Farkku often stopping to wait his slower companion who might be the closest living being for him. They usually are separated when Farkku is trying to hide from gathering organizer Kangas using those moments to talk with other dragons and learn some new words.
Farkku has been rather lazy when it comes to magic and pretty much only uses the basic levitation spell and even that he uses only to lift the thing from ground to catch them non-magic ways. Whether or not he can use other spells remains unknown he having not bothered to try them. His energy reading also is decent at best he not having bothered to specialize to certain type of energy and senses them all usually as a big mess. If he tries he can identify what kinds of energies he is sensing but that takes too much energy and as long as he doesn’t need to he is not going to bother with that. |
