The Familial Guard

SUMMARY
Part of Struve and Gryzor's first nest, and one of their eldest children, Aurrunen always enjoyed spending time close to home. Most of her early childhood was spent playing with her nestmates, particularly her sister Titania. As she grew older, she was trained in weaponry by her father. Although she took to the training well, she preferred guard postings that kept her close to home as opposed to traveling far from home with the raiding ships. Her dedication to serving and protecting the young clan earned her the nickname 'the Familial Guard'. The name stuck even as she grew older.

The presence of more guards in a much larger clan left her with more time to herself. As a senior guard, when she's not organizing patrols or stationing, Aurrunen continues to spend a lot of time with her sister Titania. Aurrunen has little magical prowess and even less knowledge of magical theorem, but she still enjoys helping her with her experiments. Someone needs to make sure that her sister won't blow herself up.
HISTORY
Born on the final journey of the ship Rivensong, before it came to wreck on the Welkin Isles, Aurrenen grew up with her three siblings Titania, Morfael, and Marusya. The oldest of the leaders' children, they watched as the clan grew and developed alongside them. Aurrunen spent much of her time training with Gryzor and ensuring her siblings didn't get into trouble, moderating Titania's schemes to ensure nobody got hurt- or caught.

She was one of the first dragons to join the newly-fledged guard for the clan after its creation, preferring to put her skills as a warrior to work close to home. As the clan grew she found her many responsibilities spread out among more guards, and so instead chose to spend more of her time taking tea and spending time with her family. Although it is still relatively common for her to take on postings herself, she spends the majority of her time keeping records and organizing guard patrols. She holds the rank of senior guard- a respected and serious warrior, but she still defers to those in charge.

Aurrenen is a friendly, practically minded dragon. She loves her family dearly and does her best to keep them safe and her younger siblings out of trouble. When not working, she often assists Titania in her research. Aurruenen tends to be the practical, down-to-earth balance to Titania's wild and ambitious dreams. While she is friendly and relatively well-liked among her clanmates, she has made it very clear- she will not suffer any trespasses against her family.
