Usually exiles that seem to disappear off the face of Sornieth. Most of the time, dragons who are exiled end up writing a letter or two to old family/friends/random clanmates they knew updating their situation ("Hey, I found a home in the Windswept Plateau and wouldn't you know it, they actually don't care if you accidentally unleashed a major pathogen near the Wyrmwound, Becky!" or "Hey, you know Arcane? Turns out the Observatory is rather fond of experiments on draconic test subjects! Who'd have thought?" are quite common). When they're exalted, though, they just vanish. The only dragon who ever came back was my random progen, and he doesn't talk about it that much. Either they die on the battlefield, are too busy serving deities to send letter home, or worse than dragonkind can imagine. They just don't know.
In actuality, more often than not they're just serving the deities either directly or indirectly. Like, good at organizing? You can work on the Library of the dear Lightweaver (I bet that needs a lot of work). Good fighter? Great, train new recruits or join the fight for dominance on the front lines (mainly if you're a jerk in general)~! Used to be a specialist in mane/scale care? Get to work on Plaguemom's poor back (seriously either those drakes are slacking off or too terrified to even try to help her out). If they did some super messed up stuff, they're just yeeted onto the battlefield with zero training/armor or locked away, never to be seen again.

Exalting in my lair is death by my clan leader. Or my Dread Doctor twins that like to experiment...
yeah. My clan lore is wonderful.

You can never have enough apparel. I will not stop until my hoard is dripping with it.
usually for me it's the deceased. or those who are brainwashed into being held captive by deities. one or the other. in one case it's both. but another option i go with is them distancing themselves and eventually being put into the back of everyone's mind and now no one even thinks about the exalted being anymore.

I buy exalt fodder dragons and occasionally if a paticular combination inspires me, I'll keep them around long enough to breed them to make more exalt fodder.
My exalt fodder tab is called "Battle School" so in terms of lore, I'm sending them off to train at this elite dragon school in space where dragons play video games, engaged in zero gravity laser tag and have a social structure based on combat prowess.... all so that they're combat ready to protect the Arcanist.

my lore mostly surrounds my clan exalter; my clan acts as a passageway for dragons across sornieth to be exalted, and my exalter teaches and prepares them, and keeps records of certain individuals! ^^
exalting is seen as a positive choice and journey; sometimes though, it's used as general means of "leaving and not coming back" i.e. running away, going off on an adventure, etc. death isn't usually a part of it but i've considered it at times

One big giant handwave. Basically if a dragon is not on my registry but is in an offspring list or a lair tab, they don't exist, with two exceptions (two permas that still need to be lored). Or there would be a pretty rampant teenage pregnancy problem at my dragon high school.

Wellll...personally, exalting a dragon, unless specifically stated in another dragons lore, means that they’re dead, since it’s the only way to remove them from the site.
Typically, I’ll have a dragon die in another dragons lore, so then I exalt that dragon because it’s dead, so I can’t have it hanging around my lair now can I?
To me, exalting is just a way to get rid of a dragon.

Interns for the great Lightning Office. I don't think I could exalt dragons if it was like, them dying or something i would feel too bad

In my lore, the exalted are sent to work for the Shadowbinder. It is a high honor, and one that entails a great deal of ritual. There are rites that must be done before someone is sent off to the deities, and so Bryn and Gereon lead the rituals and rites that have to be completed. Once all that's done, they're shown to the edge of the clan's territory and seen off to the Forum of the Obscured Crescent. Sometimes some in the Sanctum will go with them, sometimes they make the journey on their own, but they are all given rites within the clan and given small trinkets and gifts to remember Sanctum Umbra in their new life.
I don't use exalting as death in my lore. I don't mind when others use it in that manner, though. Everyone is free to do what they want within the lore, as long as they're not hurting anyone else. For me, exaltation is simply being sent off to serve the deities. They're seen off with all sorts of rituals and gifts from the clan, and then they go to serve the Shadowbinder. I don't do a lot of exalting anymore, though.

Don’t really have exalt lore, but for any of my dragons’ kids, I see their exalt page kind of like a business card or postcard, like “hey ma, I’ve set up shop down here! :D” and they’re just off living their lives over there.
