Day 4 | Flags in the Wind

It seemed like Aloy wasn't ready. Unlike he had previously thought.

He had just tripped over a hatchling as he caught wind of a new hotspot for treasure hunting - and that was a good way to get funds for his travelling.

However, that hatchling he had just tripped over had put his new plans to a halt - literally - as he was apologizing left and right. Yet, when the hatchling spoke, he stopped.

'They must get under other dreg's feet all the time' Aloy realized as he listened to them.

The Wildclaw almost jumped out of his scales when a Snapper appeared with another Coatl trailing behind her. Aloy looked to the Snapper, meaning to apologize for tripping over their hatchling.

Looking at Fluff, Aloy's eyes softened. He always had a soft spot for helping others on these trips - more so than others, Aloy guessed.

"Of course. I'll be back before you know it." Aloy promised, giving a quick smile at Crystal.

Aloy patted Fluff's head before going off to the Windswept Plateau. He would get those pinwheel fans and windchimes for Fluff. After all, he promised. And Aloy always kept those promises.

He sighed. "Look! You hurt the kid now! Go buy them the pinwheel fans!" Omisha complained to his ear. He continued grumbling before crouching to only a few metres above the hatchlings height. He looked down upon the child. "Mmm, okay." He grabbed a few bundles of gems, each quite a few hundred at least. He'd just buy whatever the small coatl wanted and get out of here. He looked down at the hatchling poking and hugging his leg with an expression not unlike one of a bearded dragon looking at a plate of disgusting vegetables (compared to tasty insects). "Pinwheel fans, Hot air balloons,,, whatever," He muttered admist the chaos. He scanned around for a vendor selling of the sort, a higher quality by the one he was currently nearby. He was able to see his "friends" too. Omisha had now wandered off with her girl friend to a fancy restaurant for a mini date of the sorts, FyreWyrm and Kelvin shooting party poppers and water guns at innocent bystanders and "Jolly" buying more souvenirs. "...to the Wind Plume! and get us Win-peel fans! And winning chimes! For the festival!" "Hm?" He looked down at the small child, missing most of her chatter. His face scrunched up again and he looked up at the snapper he assumed to be the guardian of the small creature pestering him and asked about what Fluff wanted. The snapper babbled about being sorry and how she'd take her away and the sorts. Not what he wanted. He dropped a few bundles of gems, worth quite a bit but not much to him. "Look, here's the money. Buy as many pinwheel fans and chimes and whatever as you want. You can probably book a private flight by chariot to wind with that. I'd say spend it wisely but you're a hatchling. Spend it how you want. Just get off my leg." He blinked, feeling a strange tingling of warmth as the hatchling let go of his leg and gasped in surprise at the money it had been offered. He shook it off and continued on his way.

As the hatchling starts speaking to Coalfire, she can’t help but adore her cute speech, and kindly reminded her that “win-peel fans” were actually pinwheel fans. It was not long after when a fellow Snapper ambled up to her, with a few more hatchlings trailing ticking close to her. When Fluff made her request, staring up at her with those wide purple eyes, she couldn’t resist. Breaking a smile, Coalfire leaned down to the Coatl hatchling. “I’ll do it.”.
