He accepted the Quail with a high-pitched trill, and stared at Leofric with big eyes as he took his bite. "This," he breathed, "Is the most wonderful recreation of my wife's dish I've had in my life. "Chloro, let's go," They called to the Spiral, who almost crash-landed trying to follow Arcana. "Solana! Abiliene!" Chloro pushed past Arcana when they saw the pair, flapping their wings excitedly and handing over a small bamboo flute. "I made this for the both of you! A replica of my instrument... I hope you like it!" Arcana smiled, and passed on an Earth Runestone. "My gift is a runestone for your flight. Day 7: Harvest Festival
29288.png29289.png
The old clan leaders of a very easily distracted clan flew around trying to round everyone up. One was decidedly more frantic than the other.

"You said you were watching them!"

"I only have two eyes, honey. And two wings. And maybe four or three legs, hahaha!"

"One of them was that tundra that scares people! And a natural disaster that could set fire to all of Dragonhome! We are not going to be responsible for an international incident!"

"Scoville's a good fire thing, he wouldn't do that."

"I was talking about Magitech."

"Ah. Right. Should probably go look for him."

Scoville yawned as it woke up. There were suddenly so many more dragons than before and its fire had gone down low again. It could see the clan of dragons that took care of it in the distance. It was so hungry though and wasn't sure it could reach them. It looked around and begged for some food. Once it got a few sticks and things, it ran off to its clan.

There were too many dragons. Far too many dragons and far too many noises and movement and loud things happening. But those two dragons promised fish and for that promise, Ecosystem tried to brave his incoming panic attack. Javor lumbered from one stall to another, taking in the sights and smells of the fair. This was a shard of what he'd envisioned when he'd had his dream so long ago... the dream that one day, dragons of all flights could gather around the pillar once more, creating a utopia for the gods and their disciples alike.

While the Earthshaker may have been the only deity present at this festival, dragons of all flights carried little pieces of their creators in their hearts, bringing those pieces with them when they visited the Pillar of the World. Bringing the Earthshaker closer to his lost family.

He passed by little landmarks, subtle things that he only noticed because of the stories that his clanmates had relayed to him the whole week.

The smell of Trava's strange recipes.
The taste of treats made from the sweetest of Viridian Labyrinth herbs.
The feel of soft fabric against his claws, offerings of a seamstress hawking her wears.
The sight of tiny pinwheels made my tinier claws, sprouting like flowers beside the path.
The sound of a bittersweet melody upon the tongue of a wandering minstrel.

And at the end of it all, a fireworks display lit up the evening sky; banging and booming, tasting like gunpowder, smelling like charcoal, and heating his worn scales.

As he flew home to his place beside his mate, he looked back at the pillar, bathed in the light of the moon. His work wasn't done. There were so many hearts left to open to the prospect of unity. His god still mourned for the siblings and children who had left him to hold the world upon his back. But for today...

It was enough.

Day Seven | Harvest Festival

Aloy waved to everyone he knew *and those whom he helped) as he entered the main part of the festival. He had a lot of joyous adventures in this festival, and he felt like he'd done his part just by t\helping those in need.

Hearing a booming voice coming from the stage, Aloy wandered his way over there, stopping to look at some stalls along the ay. He had participated in a few of them, but he had the most fun here - Aloy had to admit they did a fantastic job.

Aloy watched as the crowd began to appear to see if they had won something of interest or (like some) had come to applaud those who won. Aloy was a mix of both. He almost didn't realize he had won a new friend - but he was now super excited to take them home to the Miner's Demise - and show them off to his clanmates.

Aloy "ooohed" and "awwed" with the crowd, making sure to clap for those how had won (before & after his name was drawn) - but he was anticipating the main event. Who got to take home one of the Earthshaker's prized familiar.

When the Imperial on stage was just about to announce the lucky dragon, a huge gust of wind blew Aloy (and many others) almost off their feet. But the one thing that left everyone a little sad was that the drawn name had been blown away/

A heavy sigh tore across the crowd, and many began to mutter, but hope wasn't lost - they had another written down somewhere. All they could do was sit and wait while the festival staff ran around looking for it.

Getting comfy, Aloy sat down and patiently waited...

They can easily pick out their clanmates mixed with various crowds, from the bustling cafe, to the seas and paths of corn, the many vending stalls, and on and on and on. A feast of food and drink, new companionship, and the celebration of the Earthshaker's innumerable bounties - all of it and more will serve as fine bases for their nightly dreamscapes. They SHOULD be getting started on those... but... What's the harm in having a little fun themselves?
