“What am I doing here?!! I can’t cook!!!” Levin flailed and attempted to run away, but Madel chased after him and grabbed him with just one arm, keeping him in place.
“Mochi wants you here.” She asked for the two of them specifically, much to everyone’s surprise. Neither Madel or Levin are known for their cooking skills (though they’re pretty good at social deduction games).
“You don’t even have to do anything, just stay and watch. Maybe you’ll be asked to do something, but it’ll be helping her stir things or get ingredients. It’s not much. Plus, you know her and Cocoa are buddies. It’ll be fun for them.” Cocoa is Levin’s familiar and is about the same size as Mochi.
Madel and Levin glanced over at the station where the little Bantam Fangar was watching Mochi prepare the Brussels Sprouts. Covering them with cinnamon and a lot of sugar.
They looked so happy. Levin sighed and approached the station.
“Soooo, Mochi. Whatcha making? Do you-do you need anything in particular? Any help?” Please say no. Levin thought to himself.
Mochi stared at him, at Madel, and at the chickens that are often following Madel around fearlessly. She then pointed at the Coral Grouse.
“Comfort food! Fried chicken!!”

“Don’t look.” Madel said to the chickens, perhaps they don’t know what’s happening.
Or they don’t care, many winged fowls have been cooked during this festival. With a shrug, she got to work: plucking the feather, breaking down the Coral Grouse, and preparing it to be fried.
Buttermilk and Cricket flour are mixed into a bowl. Levin was terrified of the blender, but he figured out how to get cricket flour by using the mortar and pestle to crush the crickets first and then a handheld pepper mill to throughly grind them.
Meanwhile Mochi was melting at least three Butter Stick in a pot. Together, they’ll coat the pieces of Grouse in the buttermilk-cricket flour mix and then fry them in butter.
Serve the Fried Grouse with some roasted Brussels sprouts, voila!
