Fen is a free spirited dragon, who always knows what to say to cheer you up. Observant, curious, open-minded, playful and enthusiastic, he passes through life like a social hurricane without the destructive force. The veilspun's a good listener and an excellent creator of impromptu comfort food. It's these skills that bring the lair together, coax shy hatchlings out of their shells, rally his allies and help them reach their goals.

Even if he's occasionally absentminded, Fen can be thoughtful and introspective at times. He understood early that he wasn't suited to rule, mainly because the dreadful paperwork never seemed to get done. At the same time, Fen doesn't deal well with being micromanaged, as he has the tendency to feel demotivated or like he has failed. Currently, he takes the flexible role of an innovative advisor and is contend as the head of internal affairs.

Although Fen is usually easy-going, his empathy sometimes makes him feel too much. Whenever a situation becomes emotionally painful or socially awkward, he's therefore the first to get stressed and overthink things. This is the cause of quite a few break-ups with past boyfriends. Luckily for the dragons he works with, he knows how to step on his breaks and simply ask intead.

Above all else, Fen is someone who stands by his ideals. If negotiation fails, he's the type to fight for anyone and anything he cares about. With his adventurous spirit and pasttime of hunting, he became a sort of at-home provider and protector of his clan.

No one is sure where Fen came from, since he suddenly appeared from the skies one day, plummeting down before Dune. The first hours, he was in so much agony that the guardian didn't dare to move him, only approaching to secure his limbs. During that time, his primate-like body stretched, cloth tearing as it crept into the shape of a veilspun.

Although Fen picked up the language quickly, he had to accost an older veilspun to understand flight. It took much trial and error, but Fen never managed to master controlled turning. (He looks much like a drunken eel and tumbling bumblebee when airborne.) As a result, he mostly uses his wings to prolong his jumps. This works out well in forested areas, where many trees support his dash-and-strike fighting style, which looks a little like erratic pin-balling from a distance.

Despite his longing for home, Fen was fascinated by Sorneith. In his first years here, he explored the land with Dune, visited and worked to understand different customs and cultures. It was then that he developed a deep passion for dragon cuisine; both beverages and meals, cooked and raw, insects and meat, seafood and plants... On his free days, he collects new recipes from various dragon lairs and beastclans, incorporating those spices and ingredients into his delicious snacks.

Fen usually has a wild but collected look about him. Since the dragon was originally from a primate-like species, he is accustomed to taking care of his mane, usually braiding it or putting it into a ponytail to keep it out of the way. During his adventures, he got his skin inked and since then, he has continued to dye his scales as a form of self-expression.

The wood above thunks, a cloud of dust spilling over the table edge.
Fen pauses mid-bite, gaze flitting above his raised tail, blinking through the fragrant heat.
"Guess the no-food regulations exist for a reason, dropped food would be a tragedy here."
A click and the fire gutters. Crispy dough sizzles around juicy pork, bursting spicy-savory-sweet on the tongue.
"Perfect."

Green folds easily around fragrant rice, wraps flush over glistening greens, steaming tofu, pickled eggs drizzled with chili oil, twists neatly over hot dumplings, their tan skin glistening from oil, dotted with fragrant sesame.
After checking over the seal, Fen fastens a runed leaf, then drops the parachute over the edge.

"Enjoy!"
Behind him, the local smoke alarm screeches.
