I mentioned him a long time ago with Marek - Tohil is the dragon that Marek wants to form a cult around. Fortunately for everyone, Tohil has no time for this. He’s the son of two gods that are always fighting, and this hasn’t exactly given Tohil the greatest vision of gods. Not that the Eleven have ever done that for him, especially not with an Emperor tromping around and no sign of them doing anything to rectify the situation. I decided that the magic unleashed back then that awoke a new Emperor did more than that. It changed dragons’ eyes, but it also made the whole world kind of go magically haywire. Not only dragons were raised from the dead, but a whole multitude of other creatures were supercharged, inflated with strength and size. Tohil knows he’s not strong enough to fight an Emperor. But he is strong enough to fight these other huge things. For a while, Tohil and another of my dragons, Euros, was the progenitor of a lineage that I’ve since lost interest in. But it was fun while it lasted. So, anyway, I was proud of my outfit for Tohil, being all angelic and whatnot. Tohil was my first god-like character, which I’d avoided for a long time because I was sticking closer to canon lore. But then things happen and I figured, you know. Who cares. Which is pretty much demigods in a nutshell, I think. Show me a [b]Demigod[/b]. Or a regular old god, since I think Tohil might actually be that, with two god-parents? I have no idea. The lore that came with him said he was a demigod I think, so here I am. Tell me what they’re the patron of, if they have such a thing. I don’t know why it’s such a hard sell to me (and I have a couple of them now), but it is. But I really like how it looks on Skydancers, especially the faces. I eventually added those Malign Footpads which I think matched them so well. But that’s not what this is about. Saint came from a lore lair (@TwistedRae, I hope you don’t mind the ping - I still love Saint so much and thank you for selling him to me), the first-hatched of a goddess. I loved the way he looked so much, and I found the lore he came with to be incredibly inspiring. Because as much as I love families - I also therefore love characters that also explicitly don’t have families. Because it’s just as cool when they find a new one. Saint’s mother [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/drw/2709852/1#post_39550879]only wanted daughters[/url], leaving Saint in a tenuous situation. Fortunately for him, the hunters of the Tempest Chase were passing by and he convinced them to let him join despite a lack of experience or aptitude. I’m sure it sounds like a sad story, but the happy ending was that Saint found another dragon of mine - and the lore she came from was that her father loved her so much that she became invincible. We’ll meet her tomorrow, I hope! In the meantime, Saint took as his name the word that other dragons in his original lair had assigned to his mother for her patience and humility, as much as her harshness and stubbornness. He was angry for a long time that he would never remember for any of those things - because she never thought of him. But that’s okay. He doesn’t think about her very much anymore, either. [center]Oh I'm obsessed with Saint's lore! That's such a bittersweet story but I'm glad he's got a good family now <3 I have lots of sons in my lair but I think today I'll share [b]Toshi.[/b] [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/33472896][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/334729/33472896_350.png[/img][/url] Shortly after Toshi's egg was laid, his father left, abandoning his family in the night, leaving with no warning and no reason or promise to ever return. Fauve, Toshi's mother grew resentful of this. She was already leaning towards dark influences, but the abandonment and betrayal she faced sent her diving into the deep end and spiraling into a dark and terrible queen. Toshi was born uniquely. His design is split perfectly down the middle. On one side he has his mother's gene patterns: Jaguar, Streak, and Blossom. And on the other, his father's: Skink, Stripe, and Spines. Although sometimes I draw him with Falcon/Blend instead of Skink/Stripe because I ended up changing his dad's design after I designed his and I can never decide whether I like the old or the new one better... His tertiary color is red, a sacred color in his mother's religion. After seeing this child hatch, strange, unusual, and covered in tiny red spines and flower buds, Fauve was convinced that this child was a blessing sent to her to help get revenge on her cruel partner. She lavished the young boy with affection, attention, and sweet promises that one day he would rule entire kingdoms. [center]Saint seems absolutely wonderful! I think my Rubellus and Cortinar fit this theme fairly well, albeit in a rather morbid manner. Their loyalty to her is as deeply rooted as the polypores that blister from between their slimy scales, the mycelium that webs their veins and the spores that cling to their lungs.. frankly, it borders worryingly close to fervent reverence at times. On more than one occasion, they have bloodied their claws over perceived insults to their beloved mother, taking great pleasure in punishing those who dare to defy her, or the Colony. Having known nothing else for their entire life, they see nothing wrong with.. well, with their whole arrangement.

I guess that’s why I’ve fallen out of practice of scrying anything. Zhen was the littlest of her siblings, and her father took very good care of her and one night, under the last star of the night, he wished that she would be strong and safe. From then on, she was - she’s highly magic-resistant to all types of magic as well as physically strong.. She joined the Tempest Chase and began to use her protection to protect other dragons and Beasts. Possibly the best use of a wish ever. Show me a [b]Wish[/b]! A dragon that someone else wished for, or a dragon that answers wishes themselves. Or, really, anything tangentially related to this. There are no real rules here. Love a classic white/red/gold palette, and wow, she really does match her character inspiration! [center][b]21 April - Water[/b][/center] Absolutely impeccable outfit on Rona, the mist chime is so good with her tert. And chocolate spinner’s teal accents to match her primary, perfection! As the embodiment of water he’s an adaptable sort, with a bright and bubbly demeanor that makes it easy to discount the power beneath. [center][b]22 April - Oracle[/b][/center] Mistlurker garb and heraldic scale wingplate is a stunning combination, and Horizon wears it so well. Love the soft, murky blue-greens of toxin with twilight stained too. Specifically he’s a siren, and while he can’t predict the future on command, the songs he sings to lure travelers make use of a mild prophetic ability to draw them in with accurate foretellings of ways to reach what they most desire. [center][b]24 April - Star-traveller[/b][/center] Ooh Jeddak looks super cool. The interpretation of a lava skin as more of a cosmos, nebula-esque effect is brilliant. He is So Colors and I mean that as a fervent compliment. Simply not enough time in the day to deal with all of this nonsense. I feel you buddy. His powers, appropriately, tend to the liminal - slipping between dimensions, and often somewhat incorporeal himself. [center][b]26 April - Son[/b][/center] Saint’s dusty browns make his opal pop so nicely. Definitely agree skydancers wear opal super well, the face detail is gorgeous. Sadzhik went through a bit of personal growth in that time, so in contrast to his earlier hatchlings he actually played a part in Lyras’ upbringing, instilling a love of the arts and a flair for the dramatic in him. Lyras is more reserved than his outgoing father, but shares his charisma (though he offers it most often in the written word). [center][b]27 April - Wish[/b][/center] Zhen is absolutely dreamy. The regene (and what a makeover that was!) brings out so many striking purples, and her accent complements them beautifully. [center][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/51016341][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/510164/51016341_350.png[/img][/url][/center] Istauvahl is the fey of wishes, empowered to provide most anything a wisher asks for. Sounds great, but he’s a decidedly neutral entity, gleefully fulfilling wishes whether the end result is beneficial or not. And people often wish for things that aren’t good for them.
