He still is, probably. I have many prettiest dragons. He’s been wearing this outfit pretty much this way for years. I’m still not tired of looking at it. When I bought him, I noticed he had never nested with the same dragon twice, so I decided to keep up the track record. His story kind of grew from that, as I imagined him never really settling down - though not necessarily because he didn’t want to. I’m sure he was, at times, an attentive mate, but maintaining a long-term relationship is a lot of work. Sadko’s not up for that. And so he sees mate after mate leave him. His kids tend to follow suit, as he doesn’t really pay them much attention, either. Meanwhile, he maintained his position as a Maren hunter - the guy with the Tempest Chase who knows about Maren tactics and helps them beat them. Then these new [gamedb item=44055] was released and I thought these things were so cute. For some reason, I attached the first one I got to Sadko and a new chapter in his story was hatched. After defending a clan from a Maren attack, and leading a counterstrike of his own, he found a young Maren who survived the attack. She was the last of her school, and so he’s ended up taking her in. He’s definitely rethinking his whole life right now. He’s even gone back to being a regular fisher like he used to be. He was probably getting too old for all this stuff, anyway. Show me a [b]Adoption[/b]! Either a dragon that adopted someone, or someone that was adopted. Show me both the adopter and adoptee, if applicable! [center]Sadko is gorgeous! I love all the pieces of apparel that have red accents. You'd think they'd stand out against his all blue look, but you've managed to work them all together in a way that feels very cohesive! He has a very down-to-earth (or down-to-water in this case I suppose) feel that is very fitting for a hard-working hunter! ----- A chance to show off this boy who lives in my head rent free??? Way back many years ago, I gifted someone a piece of art and in exchange, they gave me the wonderful UMA that Cathmor wears. It was the first UMA (I think) that I ever got and I was so excited I [i]immediately[/i] went out to buy a dragon to put it on. Thus, Cathmor was born! He was stuck loreless for a while as I never managed to find a story that really resonated with me, until I listened to "Deliver Us" from the Prince of Egypt animated movie and an animatic for him and Baya popped into my head fully formed. He's been through several rewrites over the years, but the basic premise of his introduction with Baya -- finding him deep in the Ashfall Wastes in the ruined remains of a village and taking him in to raise as his own -- has remained the same since I first thought of it oh so long ago He has a fairly extended story now if you'd like to read it, it's definitely one of my favorite lore pieces I've ever written for any of my dragons! Also as a fun fact, Baya used to be named Bubble <3

He was also the first hatch from my favorite pair. I was told not to, but we can see that I eventually decided not to take that advice. I’ll be honest, I’ve never been completely happy with Merle’s outfit and I’ve redressed him three times. I’ll probably do it again. But this is a pretty long-standing outfit. But that’s okay. I like him anyway and I imagine I will one day develop an outfit for him that i like to just go look at, at times. Not that this one isn’t good. I do like it. Just not as much as others. Even if I didn’t like his outfit, I think I’d still have him. There’s just something special about the first-hatched or the first clutch of favorites, no? Show me a [b]Firstborn[/b].
