As the resident scholars, apprentices, mages and alchemists emerged from their homes (and from their overnight research) the next morning, they discovered warm, aromatic steam rising from the vents in each tent’s peaked roof to fill the city. The bright scents of herbs and spices, the mouth-watering savoury smell of cooking meat and vegetables and the sweet fragrance of baking pastries and cakes mingled in the air, tempting still more dragons out to investigate. As dragons approached each line of tents, they heard the sounds of sizzling oil and speedy chopping, the crackle of cooking-fires, and the murmur of voices from within. Stomachs began to rumble. Mouths began to water. Excitement rippled through the streets of the Astrolodome, beneath the streamers and twinkling lights that had been strung between the buildings, as the dragons asked each other: [i]What’s going on?[/i] And more importantly: [i]When can we eat?[/i] All of a sudden, the runes decorating the tent flaps glowed. The cloth billowed open and even more tasty smells burst outwards. Then flaps folded themselves back and the interior of the tents were revealed. At the back of each tent was a small portable kitchen, where chefs were hard at work producing Sornieth’s many edible delicacies, while in front there was a counter staffed by more dragons to serve up the treats. Each tent specialised in something different, with dishes from every Flight and to suit every taste and diet. A magically-projected voice boomed through the Astrolodome to announce: [center]"Welcome to the Food Festival - let the feasting begin!"[/center] The crowd erupted with cheers and rushed forwards, some getting in line for the closest stalls while others went in search of their favourite dishes or started hunting for something new to sample. I believe that's how it always is. The last Dominance calculation takes place 10 minutes before rollover, and that's when new top 3 are announced and receive their bonuses. So exalting and discount shopping can't be left till the last minute.

@HoneyedBee Just as a heads up, the dates say May 2nd instead of March 2nd. ^^ Unless ya'll are running events for two months straight!
