[/quote] @Spectator Cry looks up from her scroll, before messing with the corner of the parchment idly in thought. "I mostly want general proficiency, but also a little more than that, you know?" She looks back up from her scroll. "I want to prove to the others I'm not as weak as they are. I want them to see that, while I may be the farthest removed from Naomi, I can still be just as powerful as them." She rolls up the scroll with a sigh. "Practicing has been pretty uneventful, though... The magic this scroll teaches is for more advanced students. Though I have succeeded in transmutation, so I guess that's something. Transmutation is always useful in certain circumstances. Though I wish I could figure out the teleportation, telekinesis, and telepathy magics... They would probably be the most useful in a place like the Glitched Palace where everything is all sorts of corrupted and sometimes you get stuck and it gets [I]really[/I] embarrassing having to sit there and call out for whoever happens by to help you because, unlike them, you can't teleport, even though you come from the same lineage." She takes a deep breath. "Guess that would be the true answer, then. I'd want to learn how to teleport and use telekinesis and telepathy the most, though general proficiency is also something I'm after." She nods a bit, before reopening her scroll. "Anyways... Thanks for the question." She gets back to reading through her scroll.

It just so happens that I chose alchemy in lieu of tinkering or textiles. As for taking another apprentice... I suppose, if a dragon came along who wanted to learn the craft from me, I wouldn't be opposed to teaching them. The best advice I can offer to any new alchemist, though, would be to strike a balance between experimenting on your own and reading others' research. Use your experiments to prompt questions which you may then search for answers to in pre-existing alchemical texts, and use your research to prompt ideas for experiments to undertake. Some things really are learned best from experience, but to ignore the knowledge of others will only hold you back."

"My papa's always worried that I'll lose my pearl though, but he and Mother won't tell me why, and I always carry it everywhere with me so they shouldn't worry.
