When Aasim was younger, his mother, Sarika, spent weeks at a time away from Everhearth, searching for something out on the glacier. Every time he and Aashi asked her about what she was looking for, she would simply smile and tell them that she would explain once she found it. The two siblings eagerly awaited her return from every trip, certain that this trip would be the one, that their mother had found it this time. Over time, the trips grew longer and longer in length, until eventually, she stopped coming back.

Aasim and Aashi began making short trips of their own out onto the glacier, Aasim looking for their mother, searching for any trails or clues she may have left behind. Aashi helped, but her focus seemed elsewhere. Neither of them had any luck, and over time, they began to believe that their mother must have died out on the glacier. The frozen corpses and bones preserved in the ice were an ever-present reminder of the existing dangers. Yet they continued trekking across the glacier, as Aasim had begun to worry about the dragons he had encountered along the way. In a place as cold as this, many dragons were warm and friendly, almost as if to provide contrast for the world around them.

Over the years they formed the Seekers, a squad from Everhearth who would venture across the glacier, searching for dragons who needed directions and assistance, as well as patrolling the area for threats and monitoring the trade routes. Aasim's priority is keeping Everhearth and the dragons he cares about safe. Fortunately or unfortunately for him, he ends up caring about the survival of most dragons he spends more than 5 minutes around. Most dragons aren't aware of this fact, as his resting face is akin to a scowl.

"I haven't found much use for theories. My sister, Aashi, likely has many, but I have never found much proof or substance in them." Aasim pauses with a frown, "I shouldn't dodge the question. It is likely that she wasn't working alone. Being out on the glacier alone is foolish, and there were...comments that she made, that suggest someone else having been with her. As for what she could have been looking for, there are many mystical items and shade-touched creatures said to be frozen in the ice.

It is...important to preserve the world and things around us, according to the Icewarden, and so things remain, things that a outsider things that I, believe would be better off destroyed. Of course, she could be. Have been, looking for something beneficial, or something harmless, or perhaps even just something personal. But there always is the chance-" he shakes his head "No, best not to spend much time theorizing."
