this took inspiration from the DTDAY thread! but i recently got an idea for a fun spin on it.
Draw the Dragon Above You, BUT
You have to try something COMPLETELY new for you!
what does that mean?
it means that you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone when it comes to art and try something new! in this thread, you'll be getting super experimental with your art and doing things you've barely/never done before.
what are some examples of moving out of your art comfort zone?
here are a few to spark inspiration:
if you normally draw digitally, try drawing traditional!
if you normally use gouache, try using watercolors!
if you normally draw in color, try black and white!
if your style is realistic, try cartoony!
if you only draw on paper, try painting!
if you draw with your right hand, try with your left!
and vice versa, of course!
RULES
to avoid confusion, please make sure to claim the person above you before starting the drawing. once you finish the drawing, edit it into your original post and ping the person above. making a new reply can confuse others.
you can only claim one person at a time. please finish the previous drawing before claiming again.
please try to put some effort into your drawings- a three minute doodle doesn't challenge your art boundaries.
please remember to stay respectful and kind to other artists. this is an experimental thread filled with experimental art, and what you receive could be entirely different from what you wanted, but that does NOT justify harassing other people. this is just meant to be fun and a refreshing game/challenge for artists.
please don't critique any artist's art unless they specifically asked for it. it might not be helpful due to the nature of this game and can easily open up arguments.
if you want a specific dragon drawn, please specify in your post. if you don't, the artist has the right to draw whatever dragon they'd like.
keep things lighthearted and have fun!!
since i have nobody above me, i'll probably draw a dragon from a friend of mine:) think i'll do it with my old posca pens since i almost never used those...

you also draw humans so well!! i would totally encourage you to draw them more (unless you just dont enjoy drawing them, that's completely okay)
