Wavecrest Saturnalia April 21-28

I'd like some feedback on the Swipp/Baldwin tracker, specifically. Are there any changes y'all would like? Is there some other way it could be helpful? LMK

All new updates are sorted to the top of the spreadsheet and the cells are BLUE.

Welcome!

Skrymer, the FR Player formerly known as Phasma, developed these sheets (The Bestiary, HibDen, & Swipp/Baldwin trackers) and gave Reddhed permission to update them. Reddhed stopped making any updates as of Rockbreaker’s Ceremony 2020. I came across these sheets in late 2021 and started cleaning them up and updating them for my own personal use, but kept posting updated links in Redd’s original post. After a year of no contact, and now that the links for those sheets are defunct, I’ve started this thread to kind of start over. **I am still subscribed to the old thread, so if you find yourself there, I’ll still get the notification.

*Reddhed’s opinion on Skrymer/Phasma’s set-up, which I also share*
I think these are the best database sheet sets I have found. For example, the Familiar sheet has a main tab with all the familiars listed, which you can sort and filter. It also has the general locations of where to obtain the familiars, marketplace prices, rarity, etc. There are also Coli and Gathering tabs, which help you select where you will gather or battle to obtain your familiars. The other sheets are set up with similar features that are incredibly helpful.

* A note on the marketplace columns on the main tab of the Bestiary tracker, I have not gone back and verified older prices or checked for any price changes.
These prices have been corrected/updated.
I have also noticed some of the formulae used don't quite function as expected, but I don't use all of the functions in all of the sheets, so I may not have caught the errors yet.
I think we've caught all the formula bugs.
If you find something that is out-of-date, incorrect, or broken, please ping me and I’ll get it fixed.

How to use the Bestiary spreadsheet:

Make a copy of the file, (File -> Make a copy) (or I can send you the original .xlsx, just ask!).
Write "Y" in the Owned/Awakened columns in Main if you have the familiar and if it is awakened.
Write "Y" in the Bonding column in Main if you have a familiar attached to a dragon.

How to use the Swipp & Baldwin spreadsheet:

First, you should make a copy of this file for yourself (File -> Make a copy). If you don't want (or can't) use Google Sheets, you can also download the file (or I can send you the original .xlsx, just ask!).
In the Main sheet, you should correct the Interest column according to your needs/tastes. Simply: if you want the item in Trade, let the cell value at '1'. If you don't want the item, write '0'. If you want this item more than the other items, write '2' (or more).
In the Main sheet, you can also write down how many items you have for the trade in the Owned column. This makes it easier to track your progress.
In Hunting, Fishing, Insect, Foraging, Digging, and Scavenging, write down your respective gathering level in the red cell (and keep it up to date). With this, you know if you can gather the needed items.
And that's it, you're set! Now each sheet will tell you which is the best zone/venue to farm for your items, based on your level and interests. Just gather/grind in the zone/venue with the highest/greenest number at the top of the table.

Additional information:

In every sheet, the ID column is used to sort items in the same order that they appear in your hoard. You can then choose to sort the tables by ID, or by name.
In every gathering sheet, the Level column shows the minimum level to get a given item.
In every gathering sheet, I have also added the Familiars you can only get from gathering (like the Beetles). If/once you already have them, you can manually change the value of Interest to '0'.
In Gathering and Coliseum, the name of the items you want (and can have) will be in bold (once you input your gathering levels). This makes it easier visually to check if you should keep or toss something.
In Main, once you have enough items to make a trade, the item name in Trade will be bolded. You should then write '0' in Interest, since you have enough.

Tip: if an item can be obtained from gathering and the Coliseum, you are more likely to get it by gathering. It's probably a rare drop in the Coliseum anyway.

How to use the Hibernal Den tasks spreadsheet:

First, you should make a copy of this file for yourself (File -> Make a copy).
In the Main sheet, you should correct the "Unlocked" column according to you have already completed.
In the Main sheet, you can also write down how many items you have for the trade in the "Owned" column. This makes it easier to track your progress.
In "Hunting", "Fishing", "Insect Catching", "Foraging", "Digging", and "Scavenging", write down your respective gathering level in the red cell (and keep it up to date). With this, you know if you can gather the needed items.
Also in "Trading Post" tab, be sure to keep your Baldwin and Arlo levels up to date in the same red cell.
And that's it, you're set! Now each sheet will tell you which is the best zone/venue to farm for your items, based on your level and progress. Just gather/grind in the zone/venue with the highest/greenest number at the top of the table.

Additional information:

In every sheet, the "ID" column is used to sort items in the same order that they appear in your hoard. You can then choose to sort the tables by ID, or by name.
In every gathering sheet, the "Level" column shows the minimum level to get a given item.
In the gathering and coliseum sheets, the name of the items you want will be bolded (once you input your gathering levels). This makes it easier visually to check if you should keep or toss something.
Please note that in the Marketplace ("Purchases") tab and the "Trading Post" tab, there are multiple tables side-by-side, so sorting the entire sheet could break the other tables.
In the Main sheet, once you have enough items to complete a quest, the quest name will be highlighted. If you can actually complete that quest (based on the four you have available), the quest name will be even more highlighted. Once you have finished that quest, click on "Unlocked" for each items, and the lines will be greyed-out.

Tip: if an item can be obtained from gathering AND the Coliseum, you are more likely to get it by gathering. It's probably a rare drop in the Coliseum anyway.

How to update your trackers
  • Manually add the same number of new, empty rows
  • Copy & paste the new information into your current spreadsheet.
-I try to keep all the updated rows sorted to the top and highlighted in BLUE.
For the HibDen specifically, because the tasks are numbered, and new ones are added throughout instead of just tacked onto the end, you also have to add the new task & ID to the Task Order tab. This post and the one right after it explain the details better.
  • Go to the Task Order tab
-These are not sorted with the new ones at the top. The blue highlight is the empty cells to the left instead
  • Add new, empty rows for each new task ID
  • Only type in the NAME of the new task
  • Highlight several cells (at least 3) above the new empty ID# cells, and drag the cell selection down through the last empty cell. The whole column should update accordingly.
    vvlGQG6.png
  • THEN go to the main tab and enter your new, blank rows.
  • Paste in the new information
  • If your text is coming in misaligned, just correct it from the tools at the top of the sheet:
    CwQw3jJ.png
-Sheets doesn't like to carry over formatting when you Copy & Paste.
  • When you go to add a new venue column and associated items to the Coliseum tab, add a blank column FIRST
  • THEN add new blank ROWS and copy your new loot drop rows
  • THEN copy & paste the venue column
Feel free to ping me or message me if you're having any issues with updating your sheets.
Thanks to @Kianast for writing it out longhand to begin with, and @rockss for reminding me to put this somewhere folx can find it regularly.

Thank you so much for maintaining/updating these. I might just be missing things! But I'm trying to fill it out and I think some familiars are missing. I wasn't able to find: Book Hoard, Formal Tea Set, Nutcracker, and Snapper Nutcracker. I might just be blind, but I thought I'd ask.

Can I also be added to an update pinglist please? (for bestiary and swipp baldwin)

@AvianAnalyst Absolutely!

All of the NotN and the new Harpy familiars are in green at the top of the list. If you don't see them, try sorting the Name column by cell color.

Ah, there they are! I thought I did something silly. Thank you!

I marked them Owned and it updated my totals, but it didn't erase the red highlighting for the owned/bonding cells.

Related: when I marked Agol as owned, the name highlighted faded green, but that didn't happen with anyone else.

Are these expected behaviors?
