Welcome!
This is the Study of the Dragon Heights
a.k.a. How Big the Dragons Really Are!
So, the fact that the site statistics only give you the length of the dragon has always bothered me. It is the easiest way to list the dragons sizes statistically, but doesn’t really tell much about the creatures size. Since I am a nerd with nothing better to do decided to find out the actual sizes of the dragon breeds, and have been working with it last 3 days.
Assuming that the lengths listed on dragon profiles are from snout to tail, I have been trying to figure out how big each breed is, measured on top of the head and on the withers (like horses heights are measured). After finding out how the sprites bodies are proprotioned I could also count how many percents the sprite images heights are of the dragons length. That allows me to rezise the sprites in scale, what makes visual in-scale comparison of the dragons possible.
Please keep in mind that English is not my first language so there’s probably some spelling and grammar mistakes, I hope they are not too distracting. Also, I am 10 hours ahead of the server time so I am usually not around from 15 server time to rollover.
All the measurements are rounded approximations that I did for my own fun, so they are not overly accurate but I thought I’d share them anyway :D You can use my research as a reference any way you like, but please don’t claim it or my edits to be yours!
If you did found my study useful and you have extra food items, any food donations are highly appreciated! I haven’t been able to grind coliseum for a while and I am struggling to keep my dragons fed haha
