@celelorien Okay, I feel like I'm missing something, but I finally have two dragons - a Nature attacker and a Wind mage - with the stones and stats you suggested, as well as the positioning (fodder left/mage center/attacker right). However, when I start a fight, after my mage Rallies the warrior, my warrior can't Scratch-Eliminate in that turn - not enough breath. It takes 2-3 scratches and 2-3 turns to get enough breath for Eliminate. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this normal for the first fight? This is my first time really doing anything in the GW or using a build more complex than a Mire Flyer, so forgive my newbishness, but I really would like to learn how to use this properly. Thanks. <3 Oh, and the dragons: Attacker and mage, respectively. :)

@Enriana No, the first round is always about building breath, unfortunately! So you're doing it right. You generally have to kill the first enemy with pure scratches and scratch the second one (and then re-apply Rally) before you can start Scratch-Eliminating. The suggested attack pattern is for every fight initiating round outside of the first breath-building one. :3 b

@celeorien

Ahh, okay! That makes more sense, then - I thought I was possibly missing some magic breath-builder that I didn't know about. ;) I'll definitely give it some more tries tomorrow - I've even got a few foddergs to use as bait practice. ;D

Bumping this up for ease of finding, and to thank @celelorien for making it, because IT WORKS.

I've been using this two-dragon build for GW since last NotN, and let me tell you--this team is almost unkillable, even with dragons of the "wrong" element, heh. They take down all the bosses too, so you pretty much only need to reset in order to replace out the fodder (and I love multitasking like this, farming while leveling fodder is so great).

It has also proven to be an excellent way to level up single dragons to 25 in that fodder slot, as well. :3

Bumping this for the newbies and posting my in-progress team! The fae needs to be tinctured because she was previously a nocturne, but they'll get there... Wow, this looks interesting, even though I don't even have any dragon past level 10 :D (Funny to think that this guide says with this team it takes 10 minutes to level to level 10.... :D)

But I would like to ask... would you re-stat a level 25 dragon to match this build after getting them there, or is this a build that would work for leveling to level 25 as well? From what I see, re-statting seems to be the thing? Maybe somebody can tell me about that? :/ @celelorien ?
Thanks already!

@Huskily Pinging myself for reference, too :)

@Huskily You can stat them mostly according to Culex's guide for the first set of levels, just be careful not to go above the final stat distributions listed on the pre-stoned stats max or you'll have to tincture them to get them back to correctness. For the cleric, distribute out INT where it says STR and don't bother giving them Eliminate, but keep the QCK even between your WW pair.

If you're starting from absolute zero and don't have a loan-a-trainer or previous lv25 to help you out in your flight, I'd recommend using your team of three to make a WW Cleric, WW Warrior, and start-towards-133-STR glass cannon (literally dump everything into STR and only STR). If you do have a trainer, you can start sending them out on their own (with a fodder in the third slot) at level 17, working your way up through the level-appropriate areas. (Typically they can handle a level or two above, also, since the Warrior's final STR point is so low and gets reached so quickly.)

I posted a while ago with the warrior of my pair Here is my beautiful mage himself: And I just want to gush how much this works! I took a break from FR for a while, and I'm back and training them up, but I've been levelling them since 14 dragging a fodder kid behind them, and it works SO WELL. Even though they're designed mostly for the GW, they work beautifully if you follow Culex up to the point where the strength diverges. Thank you so much for this guide, because it works fabulously.

@celelorion Yo, so since I don't have any wind dragons [s]laughs whoops[/s] I decided to try this with two Fires instead... Just popping in to say, it works just as well! With Sear instead of Disorient, you don't have to remember to Contuse anything but the Water monkeys. And since they aren't magical attackers, Fire has basically no weaknesses. (Or, if it does, I haven't noticed - everything dies before it can manage to hit me, usually.) And Sear's effect is lovely. It applies a 30% bonus to physical attack. This means if you get a crit+sear effect, your Warrior can just finish the mob off with a scratch instead of an eliminate. Critting any of the Mith monsters with Sear means they die instantly, and getting a Sear effect on any Mith means that your Warrior can just scratch them to kill. Frost Delvers are deadly easy. Just sear and flame slash until dead. Again, getting a sear effect onto the thing means that flame slash from your warrior does 30% more damage, so depending on when RNG gives you that effect, the delver can die in, like, five turns. It's fantastic. Stone Borers... meh. Just contuse the thing, keep scratching/shredding it, and rinse and repeat. Fossilize only does 54 damage on a Fire type, so that's a bonus. I love this build so much tbh. 11/10 would recommend. Thanks for creating it!

Can someone summarise for each enemies how much hits they take? E.g. is there an enemy who can be k.o'd with a signle rallied eliminate? Or are all of them scratch + eliminate? I got my team here (still training the mage)
