My clan hasn't really given it much thought. Permafrost means it's too cold for burial of any sort, so when dragons of the clan die a mound of stones is usually raised over their body by one of the clan's earth mages and fixed in place with a blanket of ice. It's been so long since the last time an emperor spawned in Sornieth, a good proportion of them don't even think emperors are anything more than a frightening legend. Of course, now having unequivocal evidence to the contrary, once the current storm passes they are going to probably put some new rules into place to prevent just this sort of scenario- though what exactly they'll have to think hard on, as they see cremation as an insult to the Icewarden.

There’s these neat cremation pods irl. I could see nature dragons burying imp bodies in an egg like case filled with fertilizer and tree/flower seeds. Bodies are used as fertilizer for new life. In a sense Imperials are reborn as trees instead of horrifying destructive corpses. (A cool idea is the tree looks like an imperial once it’s fully grown). Just don’t put more than one imp body in a pod or you’ll have an angry emperor with a tree growing out of it 0-0

As our clan has a dangerous amount of them, our imps never dwell close to each other and never end up together in any party - coli, search, hunting, whatever. No more than two, in any case. And if someone from the clan or a straggler ends up dying... well, we do have a spirit that eats dragons, he's always happy to help with the disposal of the bodies, imps or no.

My clan lives in an underground network of tunnels. If by chance an Emperor would have formed, the residents would likely trigger a cave-in to pin it down and deal with it from there.
Otherwise:

We don't.

We let the imps handle it. It's their own little ritual and they know better than the rest of us do. We're not sure what they do, but no incidents yet...

Yeah, we don't
My clan actually adopted an emperor, they just keep it very well fed so it's not aggressive.

As for all other imps here? They don't die
We only keep 2 imps in our clan so I doubt we're at risk of any emperors. But if an emperor somehow did attack the clan? Guess we'll die lol
Sharpened Serthis Spear
Trinkets
A dangerous spear constructed of polished steel, adorned with ripped blue fabric. Serthis use these lances as both weapons and battle standards.

I am the patron saint of having bad taste (insert joke about heated water towers here)
Well I only have five imps, and all of them have plans.
Amethyst and Skycaller are mates, but they usually are on opposite sides of battles, since Amethyst is a fighter on the front lines and Skycaller is a healer.
Shadebolt is a cyborg and is mostly robot anyway, so he couldn't really fuse into and Emperor..
Ivysong's wings are frosted a little for decoration, but the spell she used to do that will entirely freeze her over when she dies.
And Leaf has magic plants.
