It's cold- frigid. You can't remember ever having been so cold in your life. Perhaps the Southern Icefield wasn't the best place to take a day trip.
Suddenly, a shrill cry sounds. You look up just in time to see an crystal faceted blue and yellow spiral dragon wending overhead, calling what can only be an alert, before he vanishes in the distance. You consider turning tail, but a few seconds later a figure appears, coming towards you fast. A huge, goldenrod crystal guardian.
The guardian lands in front of you, folding his wings delicately and peering down at you out of silver ice-eyes. At his left hovers a lightning flight teal fae; on his right, an iceborn flaxen pearlcatcher. The three regard you in silence for a time before the guardian speaks.
"Hello, stranger. I am Belial- these two are the captain of my guard, Anri, and her lieutenant, Gavin. Our border guard reported that he'd seen a stranger half-frozen out on the ice. We're here to take you back to our home to warm you up."
Teeth chattering, you really have no choice but to agree. You follow the trio a ways, until they arrive at a deep, glittering cavern in the glacial ice. Just before the mouth of the cave is a stream flowing out of a steaming hot spring that warms the air significantly all around, flowing into the widest tunnel of the cave itself. Carved into the ice walls on either side are a labyrinthine system of tunnels that you realize must serve Belial's clan as home.
"So, stranger," the guardian rumbles, "welcome to Clan Brayuh. What can we do for you?"
Hello Everyone! I'm Shinko, and I'm looking for some fun with dragons! I run a lore lair, with an emphasis on each dragon having their own unique story to tell that weave together into a cohesive whole. I'm often busy so individual dragon lore may be incomplete, just a sentence or two outline of my future plans, or blank, but I try to make sure most of them have at least something to them!
Basic info about me for the nosy: Non-binary, he/they pronouns, ace/aro, American, +3 Flight Rising time, librarian, writer, artist.
