However, it really was too late for those regrets now, if he tried to weave back to Valena, they'd probably be gone. Arriving at the lightsource, the wildclaw let out an audible huff - gem stones? They looked wonderful, really, and picking up his thoughts from the earlier moments of the tour, they would surely make great souvenirs... but for one, he wasn't here to steal anything, and he started to wonder if those gems were connected to the ones the tour guide had talked about earlier, before they suddenly got super shaken up and the group got separated. Following the principle of 'burned once', Gethsemane decided to not touch those gems at all before some more havoc might be caused (though really, he had no idea if the collapse of the ceiling earlier was connected to whatever bacteria inside stones Valena had talked about - but he wouldn't want to take chances, life was good!). With a soft sigh, he looked around, pondering where to go next instead.

Tempest pointed down the river, confused why they weren't heading that way, but shook his head realizing it was pointless. He stayed behind Valena, rather confused as to what was going on.

She finally decides to follow the guide, as she knows that rivers flow to the ocean, but underground rivers often don't allow room for walking, much less flying. That much she learned from a weeklong stay with the Clan of the Turquoise Oasis.

Tapioca decides to follow Valena- she doesn't want to risk making a mistake and getting lost or hurt, and she's sure that whatever Valena has to show the group will be cool anyways. She follows the group upriver.

She craned her head in the other direction, looking to see if she could find where the river led to downstream, but it very quickly made a sharp bend, blocking any potential vision without following the path. No, she had to follow Valena; a few dragons had trickled towards the downstream past, muttering among themselves about following it to the ocean, but the guide knew the caves, and it was best to stay with the larger part of the group. Casting one last glance at the dragons heading in the opposite direction, Fresh moves to follow Valena upriver.

It didn't look like much, but it also was too far away to see well - around were they stood, the holes in the ceiling were too tiny to fit through, but as porous as the rock seemed to be here, maybe there were some larger holes over there? And then she couldn't help but wonder about that Horace creature Conrad had mentioned - he had said to not go to far into the water, but if she flew above it surely it shouldn't be a problem? Maybe she could even catch a glimpse of the mysterious creature - or creatures? - from that rock out in the water? It surely was very tempting... Araschnia stepped closer to the lake and strained her neck to get a better look at the island out there, then stretched her wings to fly. Just a little closer... It was then that the ache in her right wing reminded her that while she was very curious, she was also hurt, and rather tired. Maybe flying over a large stretch of water filled with potentially dangerous creatures wasn't such a good idea after all, not in the condition she currently was in. Resigned, she sighed and lowered herself back to the ground. Staying with the group probably was the more sensible choice, anyway... Not that that had helped her much the last time, she thought, but still she turned around and wandered back over to her fellow travelers to see if she could be of any help catching the slippery but harmless sort of lake creature.

He admired her professionalism, especially in such concerning times. Still, the cave was not full of robotic monstrosities attempting to murder everyone; nor was it being attacked by enemy dragons attempting to steal secrets. This experience was still very relaxed compared to the past two years. For a moment Xen wondered if that would have changed had he wandered off on his own. Several dragons had, in fact, disappeared from the group. At least, he figured, if he stayed with Valena the would have two heads against this conundrum....well three if one counted Conrad, whom Xen was sure had to be around somewhere. The sound of the rushing river pulled Xen from his thoughts. Sparks flickered across his frills at the sight. He had to remind himself to relax, that he wouldn't drown if he kept out of the water. Valena issued a warning of the river's current to the rest of the group. Xen didn't need to be told twice. “If we follow it upriver we should be able to find a way out. Follow me, it should only be a little bit further,” and Valena turned and started walking along a wide path next to the river. That was the part that confused Xen. Rivers flow into the ocean, so why would you head up river? Xen's father had warned him once about "blind faith" in others. Of course, Jareth didn't trust much of anyone, save for Vaizel and Dysmas. Xen admired his father for his work in the shadows, for the sacrifices he made for the safety of the clan; for his safety. But, Xen also knew the importance of listening to a professional; of trusting someone with more knowledge than himself. He pushed the warning thoughts of his father's voice from his head and pressed on behind Valena. If this was a trap....well then so be it.
