Some argue they were born in the Sunbeam Ruins as spry young fawns and were turned into magical beings after a terrible accident. Others believe they were made from the Tangled Wood's foxes adorned with shady masks that grant them special powers. There also exists some who believe they were carved from ice atop the highest peaks of the Southern Icefields. All that we know for certain is that so long as dragonkind have existed, so too have their tiny, energetic, mask-wearing companions. Maasks are spritely little things, dancing about in celebration of every day. They take nothing for granted, living fully and without shame or regret. Many dragons keep them as companions to remind them to be thankful for each and every moment as it can never be repeated. While bright and energetic tends to be the default, each Maask is completely unique with its own personality, aspirations, and skills.
