Heading towards the light seemed like the best option at the time! But now having found only gems, he was rethinking his decision. Alec decides to pick up a few of the gems, you never know when they might come in handy!

@Tyeth - I just realized that I totally spaced out and missed submitting a response on 7/25. I moved ahead to the part of the 7/26 story that I would have chosen anyway and submitted the form from there. Is that the right way to do things...or did I muck it up even more?

Thanks...enjoying the adventure so far. :)

@Katelle

Yep! That's exactly right.

That is what he is here for after all! Any who, it is now time to look for food. Since Tigris isn't much of a seafood eater he decides to venture out a little on his on. This includes going to an island.

Delicate as silk they seemed. And, if his teachings were correct back in the Sea of One Thousand Currents, they were remains of a perfectly adapted creature native to these caverns. Seeing the gems on the other end but no Levias filled his heart with worry. Where could that creature have gone? Giovanni remained on the outskirts of the silken formations and hopefully on the side of safety. He would wait for the others here. It was also unwise to travel alone. Meanwhile... Levias was beside the river further into the cave with Valera. The poor Goblin was scratched and slightly bleeding from the entire rockfall fiasco so they had followed water to come heal. The giftbag given to them before the start of the adventure was now filled with more peculiar objects they had excavated from deep within the flowing river, rather than the bundle of scones from before. It was a good thing Levias was just the right size to take multiple trips up and down the river without further injury. They consumed another scone from the dozens they had taken before and was only now left with Giovanni's scone... Giovanni! Standing up and grabbing their pack, Levias ran towards the tour of dragons in search for their garnet companion. He was nowhere to be found. They poked and prodded several dragons to try and get help but... Levias was far too small to be noticed by most of the dragons. With no other options, Levias sped off in the direction of the rockfall to retrace their steps and hopefully find Giovanni in the process. ----- I don't think the little side story will confuse too many but in case it does, Levias is just doing their own thing, all my choices go by what Giovanni is doing and I do not expect anyone to really take notice of the goblin. It's moreso and excuse for me to write a little more x3 but if it does bother anyone, let me know and I will gladly remove it!

Well, Genny knows a trap when she sees one. Anyway, those gems are clearly a treasure reserved for this cave, it wouldn't just be foolish, it would be wro--QUARK NO

Genny groans as her familiar guiltily hides a gem behind her back. "We're watching Aladdin when we get back, IF we get back. There'd better be a magic lamp in here!"

"Now, what's a bit of risk in taking these?" She walks over and to the gems, looking at them as they glow a soft light. She happily nods, kneeling down to pick a stone up. "If anything, these can help me if things get dark. Heh. Maybe not even in a literal way," she remarks, picking up a gem and almost greedily holding it to the chest.

Though, seeing Conrad's uncertainty to which route is the one to take is worrying. Hopefully he'll remember soon which way to lead on through in the cave that he should be familiar enough in to lead a tour through. The fae also found it a little odd that the ridgeback wouldn't explain the lake. Wouldn't it be better to explain any potential unpredictable dangers? What's with the vague hint?
