A skydancer and wildclaw with twilight-hued wings sat close together, their eyes focused on one singular thing, a mist-color orb. The blood of another dragon dripped down their claws, and an overwhelming air of approval radiated from the orb. They heard the whispers of power, riches, and grandeur.
By killing that dragon, they had given the powerful being enough of a foothold to start affecting the world of Sornieth on a small scale. But they had only completed the first step of many.
In order to have more power, they would need to complete more tasks given to them. However, That was a problem. There were too many things to do on their own in just their lifetime…
They spoke at-length with the Being, and decidedly entered a contract of grand proportions. For each child of theirs that completes a requested task, they shall be given power, and so shall the parents gain power too.
For the time of being, this special lineage of dragons have dubbed themselves [i][u]The Heralds[/u][/i]. They would be the messengers that would carry this Being into Sornieth to make the New World.

[size=4]The Otherworldly Being gives tasks to each descendent to complete. These tasks are often called messages or assignments for the sake of keeping outsiders unaware of the Herald’s true intentions.

It could be as simple as throwing a pebble into the wind at a certain place and time, or it could be as complex as orchestrating the death of another dragon. A descendant's first task is usually simple in nature and increases in complexity as they continue to prove their worthiness to the Otherworldly Being. The reward for each task completed also increases to match the complexity or difficulty of the task.
However.. Sometimes the reward isn't guaranteed to match the difficulty of the task requested. The Otherworldly Being often thinks in ways that aren't natural to dragons.

Heralds are given a special pass on this due to the pact that was created when Andromeda and Circinus promised to have their lineage be the messengers of this Being.

No singular dragon knows what it looks like, and its voice can shift pitch and tone quite easily. Two different dragons can hear completely different voices when speaking to this entity, even if they were speaking to it at the exact same time.
Those who know of it theorize that it could be the shade, a twelfth deity, or perhaps some other force entirely that is nowhere close to Sornieth. The truth remains unclear, as does the Being's intentions.

All registered descendents must be related to Andromeda and Circinus. Andromeda is counted as gen 1, her children would be gen2, and her grandchildren would be gen 3, and so on.
