The Lore of the Wayward Winds Clan
The library of the Wayward Winds is a small, humble little thing. Though large enough to accommodate dragons of all sizes, it's only just large enough for an Imperial or Guardian—such larger breeds would not be comfortable navigating the space or remaining for very long. Which is perfectly serviceable for the small clan, as the library does not house any tables, nor even a front desk. Just a collection of books that one may borrow and return at their leisure, tended by a bright blue Fae fluttering about from shelf to shelf.
He does not seem to notice your presence at first, darting between shelves and a pedestal near the center with a large book twice his size laying open upon it. As he grabs a smaller book, better suited for his size, and returns to the pedestal, he finally seems to take notice of your presence.
"Yes? May I help you?" For those accustomed to the visuals of Fae speech, his offer is genuine—but almost sarcastic to those not. "Are you looking for something specific or... oh! You're the one the Council mentioned they were sending to learn about clan history, aren't you?" Before you can even answer, the small Fae is setting the smaller book aside, and gesturing to a small disc set aside in the corner of the room. "Come on, Lerys, help me carry this somewhere more comfortable for our guest to hear the retelling."
As you watch, lightning sparks around the disc, growing and shifting until it forms the upright figure of a lightning acolyte. Without a sound, save for the crackling of its body, the familiar does as its asked, and the three of you make your way outside. Robin leads your group to the edge of a quite bamboo copse nearby, away from any of the dens in the main area of the clan. As Lerys sets down the book, he flips it open and shuffles through the first few pages before saying, "Alright, are you ready to start?"
Welcome to Robin's Records and Roster! This is the home of my clan lore and the kinda-chronological retelling of it. It is not all-encompassing—especially in the beginning, where I will be handwaving a few details, picking up after my first hiatus rather than the start of my time on FR, and generally not touching on everything that may have happened, logically, during that time. After all, this is supposed to be fun, and this lore is something that was only just barely started back then, and finalized and fleshed out now, several years later! So if things seem like they're proceeding at a bit of a fast pace, just assume there's a reasonable amount of time between said events.
In my clan lore, I mostly ascribe to the FR timing that @/Petall does in many of their Pinkerlockes: one month for us is a year for the dragons. The difference for me is instead of each year beginning with a festival, it usually ends with a festival, one final hurrah to the element as its dominance fades away for the next elemental year. This is a little less crucial to me and my lore because, even when I catch up to now, I will likely not be mentioning festivals unless something Happens. Still a fun thing to note, though!
If you find that you're enjoying my lore and want to be pinged when I post more, feel free to join my pinglist!
Eventually, once I'm happy with where Wayward Winds is at, or if I ever decide to venture outside of Wind for any amount of time, I may decide to make smaller clans with their own lore, or maybe do a Pinkerlocke of my own! If I do, their pinglists will be added here and they will be added to this thread! Hence why the name is not necessarily Wayward Winds specific (even if Robin is a member of the clan...).
With that being said, lets get right into it!
