Story

_{Even Glade doesn't know of Svenn's life before the two crossed paths in the Southern Icefield, competition on the same hunt. But, if asked, he'll merely wave off the question and say that his life before then didn't matter. That even that day of losing his mark to a third pursuer while he and Glade squabbled is nothing compared to his soaring career afterwards.

During their fateful (and, quite frankly, disastrous) meeting, Svenn and Glade found a mutual respect for each other's skills and methods, and soon formed a partnership. They took on marks as a duo, and eventually became known for taking down marks no other "bounty hunter" was willing (or able) to. Their reputation spread far and wide in the underbelly of Sornieth, and they enjoyed top pay and a life of luxury for their skilled services. Svenn is particularly keen to elemental energies around him, allowing him to scope out when a target is at their weakest, and then strike with full force. His methods were straightforward and obvious—but effective in getting the job done, and leaving a message if the client so wished.

Unfortunately, he is a rather impatient dragon, and his bold style of work got he and Glade into a sticky situation during a routine job. While they managed to escape with their lives, it became the start of a string of bad jobs and worse luck that eventually led to he and Glade becoming far too recognizable to continue working as they were. So they found a home in the small, isolated clan of the Wayward Winds, where Svenn now waits for the storm to blow over and the right job to cross his path so that they might redeem themselves and reclaim their former glory.}

"I will not live my life in fear. I am the one that brings fear to the hearts of those I hunt. Times have been hard, but we can—we must—reclaim what we have lost.

...After all, what are we, if not bounty hunters?"

I don't need her keen senses to know she is just scared. Of what, for whom? It doesn't matter. We were the best, we can be the best again—but only together.

Glade

It wasn't personal, it never is. But she's made it personal, and continues to do so. If she keeps testing me she'll find that this time, I won't fail.

Zoisite

The only one to see my skill for what it is, to give me a chance. But I failed, and now she's gone soft. Truly, our sour luck follows us even now.

Ashmarr

Personality & Relationships

_{Svenn is a cunning, if shortsighted, dragon. His improvised plans rival even Glade's, and he has an excellent mind for reading the situation and reacting quickly. However, if his pride doesn't get the best of him, the lack of an exit strategy will. For all of his skill with sharp claws and quick feet, he is liable to make mistakes in an attempt to make a statement or defend his pride—Glade's careful planning and stern presence have saved him from being chased halfway across a flight by an incensed clan guard on more than one occasion.

More personally, their relationship is about as complicated as they come. What they call themselves often changes day to day, and can differ wildly between the two dragons. A prideful Svenn might brag about his brilliant mate, but questioning Glade right after might get a sour comment about how her former business partner is not currently welcome in the den—and vice versa. At the end of the day, the two are incredibly close, and though they may bicker and stand in opposition to each other, their love for each other runs deep.

Though Zoisite and Ashmarr have certainly tested their limits. When the fallen queen, the start of their downfall, arrived in the Wayward Winds, Svenn was on high alert, searching for an opportunity to finish what he started. But he never found it—the Imperial was too aware of his tricks and, even without Glade, Svenn knew that throwing himself at her would be a fool's errand. Ashmarr gave him hope, however. When she sought him out, having determined his skillset, and asked for him to look into Zaia and Maudy, he thought he had been given the opportunity he'd been waiting for, that his redemption was at hand.

But as quickly as the flames of hope were kindled, they were then snuffed out by The Reminder, and the peace that followed.}
