I completely agree with @/BaldwinBogsneak and @/Riesenraddieb! You should put the lists with dragons needing lore, shroom pics, art, silly achievements and gijinka designs in a spreadsheet! It'll be well-ordered, and easier to view. It'll also keep the thread more accessible imo. Y'all are better at this than I am, smh. I like that spreadsheet idea since I do agree the layout of the directory posts in this thread is a little, er... impractical. I think I'll make me one of those.

That would give me room to completely rework the first seven posts in this thread... oh dang, I've gone from not having enough room to having so much stuff ACK
(jk if i can't think of something to put in a post i'll just replace it with "reserved" or w/e)

I really like your dragon display idea there, Maevepanda. Not sure how I'll deal with a dragon who gets multiple updates to their lore/art/whatever, though. ((it hasn't happened yet but the longer this thread keeps going the more you'll see me endlessly rewriting stuff i thought i finished and drawing the same Ridgebacks over and over again heck))

edit: I suppose I could make a "post archive" sheet on the spreadsheet, but idk if that'd defeat the purpose of putting links by each dragon :0

Makes it a bit more easy on the eyes imo, especially with a lot of dragons ^^ I think a post archive would work well! Even if it's just a handy thing for yourself to navigate easily between older posts.

No, you're not a moron xD Everyone has their qualities! I really enjoy coding stuff on FR, and I'd love to help you with the graphics and coding :3

Layouts work just like an art piece, especially composition. It needs to be balanced, but still interesting!

Yeah, turns out layouts and graphics require actual work (who'd've thunk it?? :P ). Work that I'm also, uh, not real good at. I can manage a cartoony dragon, but aesthetically pleasing organization is a bit beyond me.

Guess it's time to start planning a total overhaul of the first few posts on this thread! Maybe I'll even scribble up some banners or something. Wouldn't that be wild.

I'm thinking...

• a brief welcome/intro post with (more manageable) links to the other directory posts
• a post with some slightly-more-in-depth information about what's up with my lair, possibly including geography/layout/etc.
• a list of dragons like what you've suggested
• a post for the beginnings of comic storylines, when i eventually get around to those

...and whatever else I can think of, i dunno what else i've got right now :0

Frankly, I'm thinking of completely ripping off the stuff you've done. I'm an unoriginal shroom boi who will certainly be crediting you for assisting me in my time of need

Everytime I see a really good layout I'm like 'Woah, you want to make that too!' and then I'm either copying that layout or I just can't get something I like. Or give up midway because my internet went off and the code blow up ... But I'm good at organizing things! x) And I'm trying to get better with spreedsheats and their functions. Maybe I can throw something quick and easy to use together for you? If you like? Also plan sounds good! :3 Maybe adding a simple and short line into every 'important' post (like updates on bios, new lore itself, updates) with a short directory to the few main-posts? Ooh, putting a little navigation bar in the updates is probably a good idea. I might use that too! :O

I'm not sure how complex a spreadsheet I'm looking for - I threw one together myself that's literally just a column of names next to more columns ("lore," "art," etc.) to check off stuff that's been added. Were you thinking of something more complicated?

Nah, it wouldn't look any more complex then yours but maybe use some colors for better indication? Like Dragon A has lore so there goes an X in that column and the column itself turns a light green? With no X the column stays in a different color. It's super easy and was one of the first things I learned! :3 And you see with one quick look what dragon needs what.
