when it says there are parallel genes are those supposed to carry over when you do a breed change? I had a skydancer dragon with ground, fissure and firefly and it told me that one or more of my genes were incompatible and it rest my dragon to basic when I changed it to an aberration why did it do that if all of those are on the parallel genes list? @gn0me like it was stated earlier in the thread as response to that post, that is intended behavior. parallel genes do not carry over for ancients on breed change, they never have, and nowhere on this site its said that it does. the parallel genes are different genes from the modern counterparts, they just look the same. only compatible gene (aka gene that modern and ancient breeds share) is basic. any gene that is not basic will be reseted to basic.

@Ralzakark I meant to add that this would be a nice addition, rather than appear I was complaining about a lack of understanding of game rules sorry

@gn0me ah, in that case i'd recommend bringing this up in suggestion forums! this thread might not be best place since its intended just for reporting errors with the genes
I'm not 100% sure if this has been mentioned, but there is some very minor clipping in the Polkadot teritary for the hatchling on all colors It's very minor, but you can see it just on the edge of the right head, above where the hidden eye would be Here is a closer view with some other colors, you can make out the line where the head clips through the color from polkadot. Again, very minor, barely noticeable, just worth noting
Also for polkadot on adult females, the right hind foot (under the tail) has no polka dots on it. Applies to all colors.
WE're actually going to take the capsule thighs back, since all female aberrations have visible belly markings which is why it was done rather than an inconsistency between this particular gene.
@Undel Sorry for the ping, but does this mean the capsule on the thighs will stay, or be removed? I can't tell by the wording /gen.

Could be my eyes playing tricks on me but Sarcophagus seems to overlap with Ghost? @williwawwarden, I think it might actually be all genes: All have that transparent/overlapping patch on the base of the wing. When the genes match, or when one of them doesn't really apply much of a pattern to that area, it's not as obvious. @williwawwarden, I think it might actually be all genes:

dragon?age=1&body=116&bodygene=104&breed=20&element=7&eyetype=7&gender=0&tert=138&tertgene=0&winggene=102&wings=102&auth=ea362398e9c3058d89a6d52c47e0bef528d61466&dummyext=prev.png

dragon?age=1&body=116&bodygene=91&breed=20&element=7&eyetype=7&gender=0&tert=138&tertgene=0&winggene=95&wings=102&auth=c8ef0a807f5c81032b228852bda0e740ded96e49&dummyext=prev.png

dragon?age=1&body=116&bodygene=93&breed=20&element=7&eyetype=7&gender=0&tert=138&tertgene=0&winggene=106&wings=102&auth=fcd5c4dccc9613195fe979517dd8acb0159daec6&dummyext=prev.png

dragon?age=1&body=116&bodygene=99&breed=20&element=7&eyetype=7&gender=0&tert=138&tertgene=0&winggene=100&wings=102&auth=873bdc6b5893801715cbde6f8f5664519843cbf6&dummyext=prev.png

All have that transparent/overlapping patch on the base of the wing.

When the genes match, or when one of them doesn't really apply much of a pattern to that area, it's not as obvious.

dragon?age=1&body=116&bodygene=100&breed=20&element=7&eyetype=7&gender=0&tert=138&tertgene=0&winggene=100&wings=102&auth=de9a8373df21e674118dda833a9724d4b73d6e7f&dummyext=prev.png

dragon?age=1&body=2&bodygene=97&breed=20&element=7&eyetype=7&gender=0&tert=138&tertgene=0&winggene=103&wings=60&auth=ab86d23f74914d936df7770a97b905e400bc90cc&dummyext=prev.png

There's also an overlap on adult females, but it's not as obvious:

dragon?age=1&body=131&bodygene=104&breed=20&element=7&eyetype=7&gender=1&tert=47&tertgene=0&winggene=105&wings=47&auth=7b6a707a23669516c1779e298983f7b3c8e0f91d&dummyext=prev.png

I think this might be related to @Fellefan's question on the first page—is it intentional that the "arms" of the wings are the secondary color rather than the primary like in other breeds?

@Sheliak Possibly, yes, and then it just looks so much worse when it is cutting across the Pharaoh marking in such an inorganic way. I will miss the coloration difference on the wing, but it is starting to look like it might have been an accident. Ah, well....
