About the super shiny Fissure gene, I think it has to do with how the gene is set up for fluffy dragons
For example, the blue on this skydancer for a copper secondary.
Which equates to the blue here, meaning it's simply the jarringly different color and large size of the fluff that makes it look metallic. I personally like it this way, more than the opposite.
You can see it looks shiny on Obelisks as well, though coatls don't seem to have more than a faint line of the opposite color on their swirls.
