An old dragon with a seemingly serious disposition, but enjoys creating a little chaos here and there. She's snarky, sarcastic, and somewhat arrogant, despite what her cool exterior might make you believe. At first glance, you definitely wouldn't take her for the jokester she is. She is serious about her job as one of Purgatory's wardens most of the time, however.

Tiegla has been wandering Purgatory for a very long time. It's hard to remember a time before she wandered Purgatory, really. There was one, certainly, but... well, she is one of the Eldest, and time loses meaning in Purgatory, after all.

Between becoming part of Purgatory- becoming one of its wardens- she supposes it hardly matters, anyways. She has her purpose, assigned to her when she resisted Purgatory's death cycle. The first ever. An intrigue to the dimension of the dead. She was infused with its power, and she became Purgatory's, just as Purgatory became hers.

It's a fine arrangement, in her opinion. While she never feared death, the idea of not existing anymore is not an appealing one, even after so much time. She enjoys being around, and she enjoys watching Purgatory. Likes seeing who and what ends up in it. And oh, there are many interesting characters who find their end here. Or their not-quite end, in Menhir's case.

He came shortly after her, and had the same conviction. It's admirable, really, and he was quickly assigned as her partner. Of course he was. It's too bad that he's such a bullheaded idiot, but ah. Spend enough time with someone maintaining Purgatory, and it would only be natural that you'd reach an... agreement of sorts. He's still an idiot, and they're more at odds than they're not, personality-wise, but they work together well. She even enjoys his company, sometimes.

It's nice to have some semi-intelligent company in a chaotic sea of the disappearing dead.

But, to Tiegla, Purgatory is always interesting. She likes wandering here, and likes seeing the developments of the dimension. As the dimension changes, her and Menhir's purposes change too, sometimes in very peculiar ways.

Like the recent (it was recently, right? Time makes no sense here) appearance of the Great Seal; she had felt it when it happened. Of course, when they felt it, Tiegla and Menhir had done their part, and it had only taken a small pull, a nudge, a mortal who wished to stop the calamity that would merge Sornieth and Purgatory, killing everyone in the process. They heeded his call, because mortals with such convictions always interest Tiegla so, and he became the Great Seal. With his appearance, suddenly, they became his wardens too; with his sacrifice, his soul became part of what keeps Purgatory stable, after all.

That being said, while his appearance (can you call it that? Only Tiegla, Menhir, and Purgatory itself can see, hear, and feel him) re-stabelized both Sornieth and Purgatory, it also left some... holes. Holes that, for all intends and purposes, Tiegla is meant to patch, wherever she can. Purgatory's scars are her own, after all.

But- well. Despite she being Purgatory, and Purgatory being her, she still enjoys... doing her own thing, sometimes. Indeed, sometimes, doing what's best for Purgatory, means going against its very wishes.

Rhapsody and Lawrence- that were their names, she thinks- are prime examples. Purgatory wanted them to disappear. She didn't. So, she created a pocket where they wouldn't be absorbed by the oppressive miasma of the dimension.

And would you look at that; in doing so, there appeared others who wish to keep reality stable, even if it means infiltrating Purgatory. The Fellows are interesting, and the missions they carry out even more so. Perhaps she should not let them exploit Purgatory's loopholes like this, but in a way, them doing so helps Purgatory, doesn't it?

Well, in any case, she's plenty happy to just let it happen. Menhir doesn't need to agree with her; she's more powerful and older than him, anyway. The Great Seal doesn't need to know, either. This is her little pet project, and she's enjoying it.
