Each Witchborne has a Babylonn Candle, an artifact that teleport the user to any location. However, their uses are limited so you must choose wisely when to use it. They may choose to use it to escape a dangerous situation, saving themself or their charge.

Born under the Crow full moon, Umbra is a scavenger who looks for artifacts amongst the ruins of the hovels of the Child-Eaters (rogue witches who sacrifice younglings) she hunts. She has the ability to communicate with the dead, and can use this ability to solve murders and track down killers. Her mother, Dahlia, shares these powers and taught her daughter because she had had to learn about spirits on her own. Her mother also gave her a carved gem crow figurine that Umbra treasures and keeps safe in a small cloth pouch.

Umbra's shadow magic gives her the ability to camouflage in shadows, absorb light, and animate shadows. She has little purple wisps that stay close, unless she's sent them off to scout. They can also be used to guide charges to safety.

Umbra came across a male Imperial with skeletal markings along his body. She remembered a fortune that told her that her destined mate would have such markings so she approached him and asked him his name. He replied, "Arietis".

After speaking with him more about his life, his values, and his heritage, Umbra decided that this was the dragon she would make her consort. The two of them have nested a clutch within the Shadow domain.

Her children were not Witchborne, but she could still sense the magic flowing deep within her descendants. There would come a day when a child would be born of a Witchkin that would return to the ways of hunting Child-Eaters. She would watch over her descendants so that she might serve as mentor to the new hunter.
