SUMMARY

Love can lure most anyone in, but the trap itself is tricky. Lies or truth can snare the prey, but lies can work much more thickly. Upon lies you can spread the trust, but discovered the opposite is true. Finish the process before the trap can be broke, and you have yourself a true catch.

HISTORY

Holden hatched to a small noble family. From a young age she was destined to do good things, her mind just had to enter the right set. She was skilled with her hands, always making things, always improvising to do so. She'd make baskets of dried weeds, fire pits of small stone. She was talented, a craftsman of sorts.

When she set off to make a family of her own, the last thing she expected was to be invited to a Galla celebration. Of course she kindly accepted, willing to meet new suitors at such an event. Who wouldn't? It was a grand opportunity! That night she wore a grand outfit, handed down respectfully from her mother, and entered the celebration.

It took a couple hours, but she had met her mate. A noble Imperial, king of the realm and dazzling in his aura. She adored him. They spoke, getting to know each other. He was dreaming of a family, dreaming of a bloodline of his own. She shared his dream.

Not long after, they began Courting. Small gifts would be shared, and nights alone together in sweet quiet. Words of praise and comfort, love and passion. Eventually, a nest was involved. A family! Her family!

But, her mate... He was growing distant. He was busy, more demanding, more controlling the longer they live together. She didn't feel safe, she didn't feel comfortable or at home anymore. She feared for her hatchlings as much as she did for her own pearl. He had it often, tapping it, threatening..

She hid her eggs. She replaced them, dead eggs smuggled by a friend. She couldn't let him have her hatchlings, she wouldn't. She cried as they were taken away, and more so the night she didn't get to watch them hatch.. she missed them, but they were safe.

And so the cycle repeats…

I think Simmons is perfect for the job

1. He's a daring, roguish lad with a winning smile. Definitely the kind of person who wouldn't think twice about sweeping a married woman off her feet if it meant getting her away from a terrible relationship.

2. Not as young as he once was, so while he'd happily take Holden on adventures, he wouldn't be reckless. He knows she's still got responsibilities and children to think of. He'd strike a good balance.

3. He'd probably adore her children. If he ever got the chance to bring her gifts from his travels, he'd probably bring something for them as well.

First Date: He'd offer to sneak her out of the palace Aladdin style and take her to see something really cool he'd recently discovered, then have her back before her husband even realized anything was going on
