WIP Bio Notes

Her parents, two strangely plague-bound spirals of different elements living in the shifting expanse, make a regular journey to the scarred wasteland to breed. Her egg did not hatch and was left behind when they returned home with their other children.

The dud egg was eventually found by scavengers. It was sold and traded until it found its way to the Clan of Singing Blood, where it was presented as a gift to the King in return for his having healed a group of beast clan warriors, following their battle with a more hostile clan on the edge of the Bloodsinger's territory.

The King, having no particular use for the dud egg, and being ravenous from the expenditure of his powers, devoured it.

Seven days after returning to the Keep he was struck by a terrible pain as the newly hatched dragon chewed its way out of his insides and spilled onto the floor of his chamber, witnessed by his attending servants, who were disturbed and alarmed by the event. They quickly sent for the king's nurse, but the king himself gathered up the squirming spiral and identified it as the dragon whose egg he had earlier devoured. He turned the dragon over to the care of his nurse and she was quickly and easily accepted into the clan, in spite of her unusual arrival.

She possesses a level of nobility in the clan, and is sometimes considered one of the King's daughters. Jack is her mate.
