Basic Lore Notes:

Clan biologist/biological engineer/researcher. Works with Sovri, doesn't get along with Sahko. Gumdrop is his assistant. Many dragons believe that his frightful appearance and mutations are due to self-experimentation.

Jejune was quite taken with him and felt that he was blessed and brought to the clan for her benefit. He was happy to take Jejune as a mate, as her noble status in the clan afforded great benefit... and eventually, he came to quite love her as well.

He's a bit of an eccentric, and feels all the world is a game that he doesn't know the rules to. He doesn't let that stop him.

History Notes:

Jack was previously a member of a research organization, comprised mainly of plague, lightning, and arcane dragons. It was during this time that he first met Sovri. The two kept in touch.

Eventually Jack became disillusioned with the group, and sought to leave it. However, the other dragons feared that he would reveal their secrets and evil deeds, ruining their reputation. During his final days with the group, he was inflicted with a fatal condition due to an "accident" in the arcane lab where he was working. Part curse and part withering disease, his peers would offer no more than palliative care for it. He was sure to perish quickly.

He lamented his poor fortune in a letter to Sovri, and the King was quick to invite him to the clan. He would treat Jack's condition personally, and the clan would add another keen mind to its roster. A long time passed, and Jack was responding well to Sovri and Ophan's attentions.

When his former organization learned that he was still alive, they wanted to know how it was possible and learned that it was due to Sovri's intervention. This brought the faraway King into their spotlight and they uncovered a great many rumor about Sovri. They found and conspired with Sovri's enemies to try and uncover his secrets and harness his abilities for their own use (and to turn them against him)...

Sovri, however, was nearly untouchable. They knew Jack worked very closely with Sovri, and he could provide them what they needed. Jack was much more accessible... they found Alecto, and used her to get to Jack.
