To enter, pick a dragon from your clan to complete in the sledding event and post the dragon in this thread. Role play is highly encouraged but not mandatory. Since this is the first day, don't forget the form with your username and flight!
Scores will be calculated for each dragon using random.org (50-100 points possible) with 100 being the highest (fastest) score. In case of a tie for the daily prize, those dragons will compete in a sled off (RNG will choose the winner).

There will be some fascinating strategy at play - will clans choose larger, heavier dragons to go down the course or will lighter, more agile dragons be the way to go? The larger dragons may be able to gain momentum faster, but the smaller ones could have less drag. Then again, training may be the key to winning - will Ice Clans have an edge, given the year round snow in their territory? Stay tuned for the results tomorrow night!

Erebus stepped up to the booth and spoke to the dragon behind the counter. "I'm here to register for the sledding event."
After securing his race number, he decided to look over the course before the competition started. The hill was steep with some twists and turns, and it would take a lot of concentration to stay on course during the event. He thought he'd have an edge with his agility - plus, his time living in his Ice Clan taught him a lot about snow. Although competition would be fierce, Erebus thought he'd be able to secure a spot near the top.

So, hockey is up next. It tends to be a bit...bloodthirsty, depending on the team. We'll have medics standing by as I foresee plenty of scuffles on the ice.

This event does tend to be pretty competitive. Referees, consisting of our clan's biggest, toughest, highest level dragons, will be closely watching for any fouls. Play nice!

In order to be eligible for this event's Daily Prize, you must post your entry between :30 FR and 23:59 FR time on Wednesday, January 27.
Wednesday - Hockey
To enter, pick a dragon from your clan to act as your clan's representative for the Hockey game and post the dragon in this thread. Multiple dragons are ok, but you should have one main representative (can be a coach, star player, team captain, etc...). Role play is highly encouraged but not mandatory.
Scores will be calculated for each clan/entry using random.org (50-100 points possible) with 100 being the highest score. In case of a tie for the daily prize, those dragon teams will go to a sudden death match (i.e. RNG will choose the winner).

To enter, pick a dragon from your clan to enter the Skiing event and post the dragon in this thread. Role play is highly encouraged but not mandatory.
Scores will be calculated for each clan/entry using random.org (50-100 points possible) with 100 being the highest score. In case of a tie for the daily prize, the skiers will have another run down the slopes to break the tie (i.e. RNG will choose the winner).

We're nearing the end of the competitions. Skiiing is our last major athletic event, so it will be interesting to see who clans enter into the races. Have they saved their fastest, most athletic dragon for the end or will they enter someone who has acclimated to the games (and cold) by participating in earlier events?

Bigger dragons don't have a size advantage in this event - the course is specially designed to stagger the starting line based on breed. Speed is key here, but the course is unforgiving so careful navigation is required as well.

Friday - Closing Ceremonies Cooking Competition
To enter, pick a dragon from your clan to enter the Cooking Competition and post the dragon in this thread. Role play is highly encouraged but not mandatory to earn points/raffle tickets.
That dragon must "create" a dish to be served at the feast during the Closing Ceremonies. You will need to include at least one ingredient that can be found in The Southern Icefields.
I am defining those ingredients as food that can be found while gathering ice in by hunting, fishing, insect catching, or foraging. I will also allow ingredients dropped by opponents in the Boreal Wood. Please help me out by letting me know which of your ingredients are from Ice!
Scores towards the overall event points will be calculated for each clan/entry using random.org (50-100 points possible) with 100 being the highest score. However, in this event, I will pick a handful of entries to be eligible to win the daily prizes based on creativity and the use of Ice ingredients. If I can't decide who should win, I'll let RNG pick out of that pool.

You can list out items that your clan would serve for the feast or you can use items as recipe ingredients or you can go all out and have fun creating multiple dishes for the feast!

The Imperial contemplates what to make before getting started on his go to meal for major clan events. His particular specialty is creating meals flexible to different tastes, so platters with options for all types of dragons are ideal for these types of meals.
