Displayed on a Tundra because they are the least scaly regular breed. I really want a primary gene that doesn't darken the base colors, but shifts the hue instead. Similar to Iridescent. Depending on the color, it can be more or less vibrant and contrasting. Here are Auburn, Spearmint, Ultramarine and Pistachio.
This would be awesome on all breeds, and very different from what we have! Also, Petals & Iridescent for Veils with their secondary counterpart ^^
I SUPPORT THIS SO MUCH omg. Also the style of this mockup is great, the kind of hq visuals that I have been wanting for FR to implement more as the site matures!
Now that we have Koi, we need this so much more! I feel like the secondary could be either scales like the body, or something like transparent fish fins (ala Bee, but different of course). Maybe like if you mixed Iridescent and Bee together. But yes, please give us fish-scaley bodies. Koi is wonderful, but this would be perfect to go with it
What if there could be a gene that would be related to wood? It could be called Bark for the primary, and Oak for the secondary. I have always been fascinated by the way the insides of a tree are swirling with different values. There are lines and swirls and waves and changes in the darkness or lightness of the wood. Example: Example #2: Example #3: The gene would be like this, accept the line art would be darker and more obviously seen. All recents look so good, would def love fish scales (provide a nice contrast) and more basic-type genes (like the fawn and chimera suggestions)
a striped primary gene, maybe like a tabby cat? like with the striped marks on their faces and body and tail... i cant think of a way that there could be a secondary equivalent, though. going down the head but across the body is how i imagine it. i dont mind if this is too similar to pinstripe and lionfish oh wait is this basically tiger? it is isnt it?
It's tiger if you use regular straight stripes, but you could instead model it on the swirly type tabby (the Classic tabby). And the secondary pairing could be called Marbled.

I want to suggest a pattern of one of my favourite pets:
The GHI ball python inspired "Cloud"- pattern. The GHI pattern Mutation (means: "Gotta have it") looks like finde wisps of smoke all over the animals body on a darker background, very beautiful in my opinion. Finding references for this pattern online is easy and the look is very unique.
