Clan of the Water Cobra was first created many generations ago, along the shore of The Sea of a Thousand Currents somewhere between The Tangled Wood and the Sunbeam Ruins. A combined attack between Maren, Harpies, Centaurs, and Serthis took the small Clan by surprise one day, and they were merciless. Only a few dragons survived, and of those survivors, only a few stayed behind in the ruins of their home. They mourned their losses, especially that of their Founders, and their only hatchling; the Maren had dragged the Founders and their child down into the depths of the Sea.

Years passed, until the only dragons left who remembered the old days were SeaRaven, and young SeaWave - she had been just a hatchling during the ambush. She continued to lead the children of the old survivors - SeaStalker, PondShine, DeepBlue, and CrashingWaves. They began to accept new members, starting with PlagueStrategist, followed by Shark, and then Gwendolen. It wasn't long after adding the third new member that it seemed history was going to repeat itself - a battle party made of Maren and Serthis ambushed the small Clan. At first they held out hope, but when SeaRaven was claimed by the Maren, they began to lose that hope. Gwendolen suffered a deep slash to her shoulder, CrashingWaves was wounded from head to toe, and SeaStalker was cut across the eyes and haunches in a desperate attempt to avenge his father. The Clan was anticipating their demise, when an unexpected savior rose from the depths of the Sea...

Ancient Era
The reign of the Ancient breeds, when dragonkind was far more aggressive and violent, but also smaller in numbers. They have their own calendar.

Twilight Era
The reign of the Ancient breeds started to dwindle, Ancients either sealing themselves away or disappearing completely. New breeds, and sometimes remnants of the Ancients, remained behind and began the evolution of Moderns. They started their own calendar, newer and therefore shorter than that of the Ancients, starting where the Ancient calendar marked 5,000 years.

Modern Era
The Modern Era begins the start of the Modern calendar, and lasted for over a thousand years. Dragonkind bloomed during this time, still at war but starting to develop more advanced Clans, learning to come together with other Clans in times of peace, and starting elemental festivals to celebrate their neighbours and develop better understandings of their fellow dragons. Clans began to evolve, from mono lairs to lairs teeming with all walks of dragon life.

BeastClan Era
The BeastClan Era begins after 1,100 years of the Modern calendar. This Era is short, but if anything that shows how prominent it is. While its effects leak into the current Era, other events dignified the naming of a new Era. The BeastClan Era begins when Talona started to unite the various sentient non-dragon races, tired of being at war with dragons (and in many cases, treated as simple animals rather than sentient beings). This is when the BeastClan wars officially began.

Bounty of Elements Era
Simply called the Bounty of the Elements by some, this Era started in the year 1,150 of the Modern calendar. Dragons began to notice strange changes in their land - chaos among Clans in some regions, destruction of land in others. The winds changed, volcanoes made new lands, Arcane and Lightning Clans began to find new energies, Plague and Nature suffered losses on both sides, and Water seemingly lost its deity. Strange new abilities began to appear amongst dragons, accompanied by strange new appearances to dragons' eyes. Then, what really rocked dragonkind - the return of the Ancients, whose calendar marked the year 6,150.

21 years?! now that is a cat that lived w/their favorite people! thank you ;v; young or old, losing a pet just hurts differently. Morgh is by far my favorite, such a deep, solemn blue.
