There's not much of a grand fancy concept behind these really, and I'm not too tied down to the names of the genes either. Honestly, I just started doodling shapes on a wildclaw, and liked the direction that it started to go in!
Of course, I couldn't help but play around and try out different colour combos too. :D The colours were eyedropped from seraph.
Also, not sure if I should post this again in the secondary gene suggestion thread...? :T

Fade/blend for gaolers and banescales please!! I feel that these breeds could do with a lot more colourful genes and they both have quite a few busy terts that would look great with more simple but colourful genes. There are dragons I own who I'd love to turn into gaolers or banescales but because of the limited colourful genes, I often find that they end up not matching
Another suggestion for banescales: Genes based off parrots? Could be named "parrot" and "macaw" that give the face a lighter marking and the body is broken up into different blocks of colour with a feathered look to it. Would go really well with plumage! I think I would actually want a banescale if such genes existed, I'm always really excited about more colourful genes

Posted these ideas elsewhere but thought I'd better plop them where they can be more easily seen/discussed.
Exclusive Banescale primary/secondary idea:
Stained glass - prim/sec (but may also work as a tert). Forged in fire, but slightly pretty and delicate, which is something the other ancients get except for Banes. It would be rendered with a thick "lead" skeleton, then "glass" segments between. To differentiate from wasp/petals etc the leaded skeleton exists which would be the colour of the gene (but a darker shade), then the glass would be the gene colour and accent colours in big segments, reminiscent of fire either in tendril shapes or curved diamonds that add up to make a fire-esque image. I'd think that the lead skeleton would be rendered somewhat 3D and the glass rendered translucent and shiny, like, well, glass.

I would love another simple gene set like this. It could be a Swipp's Swap or a low tier Coli gene.

How about this: fish scales! Displayed on a Tundra because they are the least scaly regular breed. I really want a primary gene that doesn't darken the base colors, but shifts the hue instead. Similar to Iridescent. Depending on the color, it can be more or less vibrant and contrasting. Here are Auburn, Spearmint, Ultramarine and Pistachio.

This would be awesome on all breeds, and very different from what we have!
Also, Petals & Iridescent for Veils with their secondary counterpart ^^
I SUPPORT THIS SO MUCH omg. Also the style of this mockup is great, the kind of hq visuals that I have been wanting for FR to implement more as the site matures!

Something based off of agate, bands and rings of colors and strips of accent colors with a glossy finish. Horns/spines in the base color and tipped with accent color. Including secondary as well. While it's shiny I think it would be nice to not a be a gem gene as we only have one shiny gene that's not gem (capsule). Perhaps a Baldwin/Swipp gene that's recipe calls for a lot of agate items (eye agate, fortification agate, malachite agate) or perhaps even obtained from digging/scavenging as we don't have a gathering gene yet and this would work well for that.

Can we get iri/shim ported over to banes? I know I'm mostly suggesting it for a self indulgent set of dragon plans but if we could get met/alloy on them, I don't see why iri/shim wouldn't work.
You should add more modern genes, such as crystal, constellation, python, etc., to ancient dragons. Also I think you should do an arcane or nature dragon flight ancient next, even if it’s unrelated lol. And I love that idea about fish scales!

I like the fish scales and the agate-looking genes, big support for both.
I also support IriShim for Banes, as well as StarCon.
I furthermore would like more simple genes for Banes (as in: not busy), which would look elegant and help increase their popularity. I *really* wanted to like Banes and a big part of why I don't is because most of their genes are too busy.
