i love this concept :0000
Often I'll look at the familiars in this game and their patterns, wondering what those patterns would look like on the various dragons in the game. So I thought it might be cool to compile a couple ones I thought would make some neat looking primary genes!

Like the tiger gene but the lines are more jagged like a lightning bolt?

The patterning on the wings/fins here could look cool as a body pattern, but a matching secondary would be neat also!

Gene expansion here as well for Mochlus/Riopa & Caterpillar/Larvae for modern breeds! I'm so in love with Mochlus & Riopa but I'm not really an ancient-loving lair

» I said to the almond tree, 'Sister, speak to me of god.' And the almond tree blossomed.
I really hope flicker and twinkle (the aether genes) become available on modem dragons as well. They’re so gorgeous T-T

[nextcol]I thought this kiddo was new genes when I first woke up and saw the announcement icon, so that is my suggestion, because this Hippocampus rules.[/columns]
Been thinking about this for a while but I'd love a gene for primary and secondary that basically looks like glimmer, but for the entire gene area. Just a solid colour gene but with the glitter present on glimmer would be awesome.
I feel like it would make for a decent-ish replacement for Iri/Shim on Ancients too.

agreed! the gradients with the gray bits together are gorgeous. maybe another gray/black gene like what we have with sarcophagus/pharaoh, and the actual color is the gradient places? regardless, it's beautiful. my only concern is the similarity with lionfish and hex
Its elaborate patterns confuse and confound both predators and other hippocampi.
