I'm with others that it's a) not dragony enough and b) almost identical to the qiriq familiars

A dragon with some horse inspiration would be neat, but not a horse with a few dragon features glued on like the original image.

I do like the idea a lot, I'm not worried about it not being "dragony" enough because FR already feels like it pushes the boundaries of what can be called a dragon (which is already pretty loose in real world mythology), but I do agree that it's probably too similar to qiriqs.

I think there are absolutely ways to take the basic idea of "dragon with horse features" and make something cool and original out of it. [s]Since I am autistic about it[/s] I'll provide the vorquin from World of Warcraft as an example. Not a dragon granted, but they're dissimilar enough from the irl longma that I think their design avoids stepping on any toes.

I believe the FR artists could do something really cool with this general concept, so I'll support on that basis. Maybe throw in another animal in addition to horses to pull the design even farther away from the longma, if there's still concerns there. Add stag antlers and it's a solid Nature ancient candidate.

That's a horse with dragon features, not a dragon with horse features. While that's a great design, it just doesn't flow with FR.
If it can't be explained by this, it's not a dragon.
You might argue drake! But sadly there's only dragon skin and a dragon head (and a pair of back feet sorta) on the longmas in here.

I'm very autistic about dragons, sorry
Edit: have an actual dragon horse, courtesy of howrse. You're welcome

I can support. Dragon horse is good horse, so horse dragon must be good dragon. Plus, I trust the Flight Rising team is capable of making them more a dragon with horse features and fit with Flight Rising as a whole, as they have already done with previous breeds.
Also gonna gently clip this...

This is actually not true. As much as I love to argue with people in real life that the 'dragons' in Game of Thrones are not dragons, but rather wyverns, this is merely me calling them by the 'more correct' term. Essentially, dragon is dog and wyvern is Dachshund.
Dragon really means 'fantastical monster' (or, even more originally, 'magic, godly snake') and does not have any real requirements for a creature to be labeled a dragon other than the creature must be somehow powerful - and even that is up for debate due to modern depictions. They have no morphological definition/specific, required physical traits. There is actually a video on YouTube that I quite like titled Trope Talk: Dragons by Overly Sarcastic Productions that covers the topic quite well.
"... 'dragon' has never meant anything more specific... 'dragon' has historically meant so many different things that it can't really have a rigid definition now. Dragons are everywhere because 'dragon' can mean almost anything sufficiently snakey and powerful that can not be readily categorized as anything else."

I'm merely using this as what flight rising would use for dragon dude no need to get technical.
By your logic you should be really upset that we have those "wyvern" ancients.
All of our dragons are just dragons that apply to this chart.
Those two dogs you mentioned are still dogs.
And for history, the bottom line is nothing that isn't dragon isn't called a dragon. Kirin isn't called a dragon. It's dragon like. Most of ancient Asian culture mixed dragon into everything but they still had actual dragons. Hence the lung dragon.
If literally anything can be a dragon then we have dragons alive right now outside. A cow is a dragon. My mom is a dragon. I absolutely hate this type of logic.
Why not use this version of qilin/kirin as the root instead of literal horse

I feel like the Pearlcatcher is extremely horsey in body and face, and it even has a horn which is a very common fantastical horse accessory. I don't think "dragon" has any kind of parameters, including being too much like [some animal]. To venture outside the dinosaur/snake/horse-esque paradigms that are the more traditional dragon figures doesn't mean you've ventured outside of dragon territory. Not the least of which reason is because dragons aren't real. I wonder if anything not real could be classified as a dragon...? Given the distinct differences between many different cultures' creatures being called dragons regardless of their differences to one another.
I think these deer type things would be a real nice ancient of some kind. Maybe with antlers and such would also be real cool. I think the staff has definitely proven they have creativity to spare for dragon design - calling any random example too [some animal] doesn't feel like it's taking into account their abilities.

But the pearlcatcher has a:
Dragon neck.
Dragon wings
Dragon tail
Dragon feet
Dragon whiskers
Dragon mouth
Dragon underbelly
?????
Kirin has; dragon.... Skin and uhh sometimes tail sometimes horns sometimes mane.
If we went dragon horse and not kirin, that would be a different story.
By this example we can determine. We already have a kirin dragon and don't need another. Boom

I think this could work in spite of potential similarity to the Qiriqs. The Foo familiars are based on the same statues/mythical creatures as Obelisks are, IIRC, and they're pretty distinct. Though perhaps, like Obelisks, it might work better as a modern with added wings to differentiate it further.
Edit: Though come to think of it, that does sound kind of like a Pearlcatcher. I still think it could work, but I don't have more specific ideas about how to make it into something unique.
